Why Excessive Complaining Is Bad
Why Excessive Complaining is Bad for You
Can you imagine a world free of complaints? Wouldn’t we be happier? We live in a world where everyone complains even for the tiniest problems, like “the traffic gave me a headache”, “I hate my job”, “I hate where I live”, “the climate is horrible”, “I hate my life”, and so on. People have to realize that nothing good comes from always being complaining. Constantly complaining affects your health, waste your time and make you an unhappy person.
It’s bad for your overall health to complain. A research made by the Stanford University shows that if you complain every day for 30 minutes you are physically damaging your brain, and hey! It’s the most important organ of your body, take care of it! Also, if you are a frequent complainer you are more likely to suffer from

When you complain you only focus on the negative things in something and you ignore the positive things, as the old proverb says, “Instead of complaining that the rosebush is full of thorns, be happy that the thornbush has roses.” So if you try to see the positive things in everything, you’ll feel more grateful for what you have. Besides, if you complain too much you’ll have no friends because when you complain you are basically sharing negative thoughts and people don’t want that in their lives. Usually people who don’t complain tend to have more friends, social live, be more successful at work, and enjoy life.
On the other hand, complaining will not solve the problem. Instead of complaining, try to find the solution to the problem. For example, if you did not win a contest, don’t complain about it, next time just work harder for it. Or let’s say you are doing a project in group and your partner did not do his part, don’t complain about it, just do whatever you have to do to make that not happen again and if you don’t, then don’t complain about it. You are the only person responsible for what happens in your

“WHOA WHOA WHOA THIS IS BALONEY MAN!” that is something I say whenever I am frustrated. People have always told me sometimes the best way to learn something is through failure. Many times when people have told me that if you are going to fall, fall forward. Do not let your insecurities, doubts, and pride get in the way of improving yourself. In brief, there can always be a way to improve yourself.…

I think that my attitude about gratitude is very important. Over the past couple weeks, I have been assingned to write about what I am grateful for or something good that has happened to me that day. I think that this has really truly strengthed my health in a lot of ways. I used to think that I wasn’t that wealthy. I used to think that everyone has more than me. I have had a talk about this with my parents and they have said that you should be so grateful for what you have. I have been thinking about this lately and its really got to me. I have read an article that there was a group of kids. Someone asked all of them to write down what they were thankful for each day. Some of the kids did it and some didn’t. it turns out that the ones who did it were the most happy. They were so happy and cheerful rather than the other kids who did not appreciate all that they had. They think that they should just be automatically given that stuff. If you think like that you will never be happy. I have learned from experience. When you are grateful for everything you are happy about everything. If you are happy about everything, then it can effect you entire health. Mentally and Socially. Just like we have gotten to write in a gratitude journal, that is practicing for many things. In my article, it says “people that have gratitude tend to be more creative, bounce back more quickly from adversity, have a stronger immune system, and have stronger social relationships than those who don’t practice gratitude. I think this totally true and I agree with it. In the end, being grateful makes you feel so amazing and happy.…

Happiness comes from within. Many people could be living in the same environment and facing the same challenges but some seem to be happier than others. No matter what one’s challenges are, it is one’s choice and decisions to live a happy and content life. There has been an unfounded belief that the rich are happier than the poor but research has given contradicting results. I cannot say that I have lived a happy life but after watching the “Happy” documentary, I am now ready to live positively and happily no matter what circumstances I am facing. I have realized that we make ourselves unhappy by complaining about the problems we face in our day-to-day life rather than appreciating the good side of life. We should focus on the positive aspects of life and try as much as we cannot to let the negative aspects of our lives ruin our happiness.…

The types of things that would be more supportive of my ongoing growth and development as a leader and person would be positive interactions with the people around me. When I work with people that I truly enjoy the company of, it doesn’t matter how grueling or uninteresting the work we are doing is. On the flip side, if I am around people that I don’t enjoy being around for whatever reason, I would hate the work I’m doing- even if it’s very easy. Being around a great supporting cast can really make a difference, especially when you have to spend 8+ hours a day with them- even if the work itself isn’t something you really enjoy. I would say this is because it really stimulates and motivates you.…
