Why Abortion Is Wrong
Abortion is an extremely controversial issue because while some people are completely against it, others believe that a women should have the right to choose. I believe that abortion is morally and ethically wrong. 21% of all U.S. pregnancies (excluding miscarriages) end in abortions. In my opinion, when a women decide to lay down and have sex without protection, she's taking a chance of getting pregnant. Whether it's done with protection or not it's her responsibility and have to deal with the consequences. Because you never know, that baby might be a blessing to your life. A child did not decide that his parents would have sex or that they would use effective birth control. An unborn child is always innocent and should never be punished. …show more content…
However, some might think it's offending God. If it is murder to kill a human being in any stage of life, then abortion, is the murder of the fetus. In the bible God says, “Thou shall not kill.” When we perform abortions, we take the life of an innocent child. This never goes away, you would have to think about how you aborted your child. This even happens when there is pressure by others for a women to have an abortion. Another reason I believe abortion is wrong is because there are many risk women are going through with. This specific risk is medical. Medical risk such as: infections, incomplete surgery, heavy bleeding, and the women's age. With these risk these women are putting their self in danger. Considering their age if they get an abortion there's a chance where later in the future she is unable to have

Abortion is murder of an innocent life, and it is completely wrong in every way. There is no justification that could cover the fact that we are murdering our most defenseless human beings, and if anything we should be doing everything to protect them and keep them safe from danger, but yet some are doing the complete opposite. Abortion should never be an option, and one should never feel like abortion is the only choice because it is not the only choice. Why Abortion Is Immoral

    • 491 Words
    • 2 Pages

Why Abortion Is Immoral was written by Don Marquis. His thesis is described in the title. He started off by establishing some historical facts about abortion. According him there were no laws prohibiting abortion in the United States until well into the 19th century. By the 20th century every state passed laws to prohibit it. In 1973 in the case Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court ruled that the laws outlawing abortion violated women’s rights to privacy. He then implies that the legal status of abortion could possibly change in the near future. Marquis believes that the crucial moral question about abortion is “Do we have the same reasons not to kill a fetus that we have not to kill an adult?” He believes it’s wrong because it deprives them of their future. According to Marquis, abortion is seriously immoral with rare exceptions.…
