What is Christianity?
What is Christianity? " without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to god must believe that he exists and that he is a rewarded of those who seek him" ( Hebrews 11:6 ) Christianity can have different meaning for different people. But for most it is a believer of one god but to truly understand Christianity one must look inside him or herself and find the true meaning of Christianity. Some might think that Christianity is going to church and tie every Sunday and giving god that ten percent. Others might think that Christianity is a spiritual journey that each and everyone takes individual with god. whatever your view on the subject is it really doesn't matter because Christianity is all that and more. Since the beginning of times there were followers of Jesus Christ they were called disciples now they are called Christians Webster dictionary define Christians as " A person who believes in the teaching of Jesus Christ" but its one thing to say that they believe and its another to show that they believes. a lot of people believe that Christianity is a set of rules to get to heave but its not. Christianity is so much more it’s the way of life and the way of living.
Christianity at it's essence is the belief that Jesus of Nazareth was indeed the son of God and that He alone offers salvation. Salvation according to the bible is only achieved through believing in Jesus' teachings and His ways of life; in other words faith is what saves people and gets them into the paradise. "I am the revelation and the life, he who believes in me will live even if he dies, and he who believes in me will never die" Revelation 22, explains that not only does Christianity offer salvation but it also promises new life and immortality in a way. Some view Christianity as things you have to do in order to reach God. "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'" John14:6; in other words Jesus

I have thought about your questions and decided on some ways to help you explain, and help Nathan interpret and understand Christianity. In my life I have experienced the same situation you mentioned about Christian terminology and what it means to be a Christian. I grew up in a Christian home under Christian principles and it had not occurred to me “why do I believe in Christianity”? Of course this did not occur to me until I was older and had thought about it for some time. I thought about this world and how it could have been created not by mere chance but by something or someone far more intelligent than mere humans, not by chance. This universe and everything in it was created with superior intelligence and for a purpose. I looked into Christianity and saw how God created the earth; a being far above humans because we were made by him; a perfect powerful all knowing being who created us in his likeness to serve a distinct purpose in this world, rather than leaving it up to mere chance. I knew there had to be a reason for this world and a good one! I looked farther into Christianity and the story of how God created the earth called the Gospel.…

John 8:12 says, When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." If you believe in God, and follow what His plans are for you, He will only give you things to help you and make you prosperous, never things to harm you. John 14:6 says “ I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to my Father, except through me.” Basically, if you want to have eternal life there is no other way to do so unless you have faith in God, and believe His Word. If a man does not believe in God, and doesn’t follow in His ways, he makes up his own rules, his own ideas of how life should be lived and sets up his own failures. The main reason we were created was to fellowship with God, and worship Him. When man doesn’t have a relationship with God, he feels an emptiness and is dissatisfied. He can not be truly content with his life unless he has the Holy Spirit working in him. To be saved by God, you have to accept that God is who He says He is and accept Him as your savior, then you have to repent and confess your sins to God. God is very forgiving, and He says if you confess all your sins to Him he will forgive you. After you do all that, you are born again, and have started your relationship with God. In the book Praxis they say that “The new life God brings about is truly an amazing act of His graciousness and…

As a Christian, I believe that salvation is a free gift of God the Father that is received by man through their personal faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for the sin of the world. I believe the Bible when it states that “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. I believe that man is justified by grace thorugh faith and not of works. AS staed by the Apostle Paul in the Book of Romans Chapter 4 verse 5 “To him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness”. I lastly believe that all true believers, once saved, are kept secure in Jesus Christ…

The origin of Christianity, a monotheistic religion, dates back to the Roman Empire. Based on the Jewish religion and belief of a Messiah, Christianity emerged with the birth of Jesus. Christians believe He was the Messiah and Son of God (Guisepi, n.d.). I was raised in a Christian home. The only other religion I 've been exposed to is Catholicism, as my maternal grandparents practiced. I consider myself to be a born again Christian which means I 've asked God for forgiveness of my sins and have accepted Jesus as my Savior and…

Christianity is an ancient religion that is centered on the teachings of Christ. The history of Christianity concerns the Christian religion, its followers and the Church with its various denominations, from the first century to the present. Christianity was founded in the 1st century in the Levant region of the Middle East by Jesus of Nazareth, who is prophesied in the Old Testament to be the Christ or chosen one of God. This religion has been around since 4BC-30AD (the time of Christ). The early Christians believed that there were seven heavens, one physically above the other. They also believed that god is Omni-present, rather than enthroned in the highest heaven. Like the latter, Christianity was originally a movement of oppressed people it first appeared as the religion of slaves and emancipated slaves of poor people deprived of all rights of peoples subjugated or dispersed by Rome. Christianity was the recognized state religion in the Roman World Empire.…

The first key theme to Christianity is faith. The meaning of faith is highly disputed in Christianity. In 2 Chronicles 20:20, Jehoshaphat says, “Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in His prophets and you will be successful.” In the Protestant tradition, faith is generally understood to be closely associated with the ideas of belief, trust, and reliance. In the English vocabulary, faith is defined as “confidence or trust in a person or thing”, which is exactly correct. Some would say Christian faith is defined as the experience of living in a dynamic and new personal relationship with God, but most would say faith is basically a belief that is not based on proof. Often used to define faith is Hebrews 11:1, which is the most concise definition of faith found in the Bible. It says, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” The Bible tells us that we have all been given a “measure of faith” by God to work with. Proving…
