What Is 3.13 Test For Saponin Glycosids?
3.13 Test for Saponin glycosides 2g of dried plant powder add 5ml of distill water shake vigorously. Persistent of foam indicate the presence of saponin glycosides. 3.14 Test for Steroids (Salkowski's test) 5ml of test solution add with 2ml of Chloroform and then Conc. H2SO4 sides of the test tubes. The appearance of color at the interface indicates the presence of steroids.

The UV – VIS spectrum analysis of ethanol leaf extract of Diplocyclos palmatus. was carried out St. Joseph’s College, Tiruchirappalli – 2. Using a perkin Elmer spectrophotometer system. Were used at wavelength from 400 to 800 nm due to sharpness of the peaks and proper baseline. The profile showed the peaks at 422 and 644 nm with the absorption of respectively solvent. 3.17 Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT- IR)
The FT – IR spectrum was used to identify the functional group of the active components based on the peak values in the region of infrared radiation. In order to test that, an experiment was made using the basic concepts of spectrophotometry. This experiment used the properties of light and how much of it is absorbed by the unknown solution. In relation to this method was the so called principle, the Beer-Lambert’s Law, which was used in getting the relationship of the absorbance and the concentration with one another. Then from the data gathered absorbance and concentration, a calibration curve was made and the equation of the line was determined. The absorbance of an aliquot of unknown copper-ammonia complex solution was then gathered in triplicate and its concentration was determined by the use of the equation determined earlier. The mean absorbance and concentration obtained were 0.2633 and 342.33 ppm, respectively. Using the aliquot factor, the calculated concentration of the unknown solution was 1,711.65 ppm.     CHN analyses were carried out on a Perkin Elmer 2400 Elemental Analyser. The elemental and spectral analyses of synthesized compounds have been carried out at SAIF Punjab University, Chandigarh. The purity of compounds was checked on thin layers of silica gel in various non-aqueous solvent systems, e.g. benzene: ethylacetate (9:1), benzene: ethylacetate (8:2). Molar conductance measurements were made in anhydrous dimethylformamide at 25±5 °C using a Systronics conductivity bride model 305. The electronic spectra were recorded in DMSO on a Thermo UV1 spectrophotometer. IR spectra were recorded on a Perkin Elmer Spectrum SP-2 Fourier transform spectrophotometer using KBr pellets (4000–400 cm−1). 1H and 13C NMR spectra were recorded on a Bruker Avance II (400 MHz) FTNMR spectrometer using DMSO-d6 as solvent at 400 MHz and 100 MHz, respectively. TMS was used as internal reference for 1H NMR and 13C NMR. The 119SnNMRspectra with proton noise decoupling were recorded on a Bruker Avance II spectrometer using dry DMSO as the solvent at 149.21 MHz and tetramethyltin (TMT) as an external standard. X-ray powder patterns were obtained with a SIEMENS D-5000 X-ray diffractometer using CuKα radiation (l = 1.5405984 Å) and setting of 30 kV and 15 mA. The geometry optimization of the compound (1b) and (2b) from the experimental structures was carried out with DFT method.
