Being an American to me means freedom, the power or right to act. Everyone has the right to act they way they want, or choose, to. We’ve gone through so many wars to get to where we are now, and it all started with taxes.
We earned our right, our freedom. From 1775 to 2016, 241 years is a long while to go from the first war to here. If it weren’t for the brave soldiers who fought in the war, we would not even be here right now.
Being an American to me, means soldiers. They fight for our country, our right, our freedom. A lot of people died in those war, they died for our country, they fought for us. It must be an honor to serve in the war. To fight to keep my friends, family, and even complete
strangers i’ve never even met before, safe.
I would, in a heartbeat, sign up to fight in the war, if it means everyone i know and love are safe from harm.
Veterans have a whole day dedicated to themselves, to celebrate their participation to help keep everyone in this country alive, and free.
So, being an American to me, means Veterans, because they are the whole reason we are still in the United States of America, our home, and that sounds like a pretty great home to me. I wouldn't want to be any other place in this.
