The first station we gone through together with my team mates was bobbling, learning the different kinds of floats, sculling and etc. The next station has been taught us how to hold our breath under the water for a minimum of 35 seconds, swim under the water and some. The third station teaches us how to dive, learning the different slide entries and others. The fourth station terrified me a lot, it takes my breath away. Imagine our instructor asked everyone of us to comply and oblige to jump on the 16th feet or else were going to got INC. It was totally my first time, and Im ashamed to jump. On the first place I hesitate upon jumping but God enlighten my mind and help me out to conquer my fear. Thanks to our Instructor Sir Cyril and to my friends who also helped me and motivated me to be strong and firm. Even how I struggled during that time as it is like I'm jumping through the range of fire I ended up my suffering, I jump and I'm proud I totally did it. The last station we've been through was a relief, its only a life line throwing then were done.

Reaction: Everyone is excited in water safety but not including me, I felt sickened upon hearing that activity. During that time was a great torment on my part. I cant believe the fact I'm jumping to the 16th feet. It felt like my soul has gone out through my body and I am having a hard time catching my breath. After the activity I was really tired and I didn't manage anymore having fun with my classmates for the rest of the remaining time. My lips has

I am always a fan of a mental pep talk before doing something that might scare me. I have used this many times but it just gets me to start focus on what I am about to do. Next I have seen this many times where peoples’ friends just get into their heads with saying things about how cold it is going to be or that they are going to get sick, or that it is just plain nuts. I look at it this way, I shouldn’t listen to anyone who has not done a plunge before because they really have no idea how it will be or how it will feel. I also think that just staying calm before plunging will help me focus as well. If I just tune everything out and just think about what I am about to be doing. By mentally preparing before the plunge it helps me to focus and not freak out before which happened my first really cold jump, which was this year. It mad my jump very…

Trouble the Water is not solely about Hurricane Katrina and its calamitous aftermath, but it is an honest, raw footage that displayed how America treats its poor and displaced citizens, particularly in time of dire need. Given U. S impressive response to humanitarian crises, and use of the top of the line gadgets to combat enemies in war-torn zones, the disappointing non-governmental response in New Orleans begs to question the capability of the U.S to response to disaster within its own country. A closer look at the tragedy of Hurricane Katrina will reveal the unfortunate truth of negligence, overt racism and insensitivity. Though all encompassing, this essay examines the documentary from the lens of structural violence as it relates to the general poor and African American.…

The presence of a dive response in humans when the face is submerged in water was studied. A lot of mammals have shown to exhibit a dive response known as the mammalian dive reflex. During this reflex bradycardia, a slowing of the heart rate, is shown. In this study, human subjects were put through various tests to determine if humans also exhibit bradycardia. Subject's heart rates were measured while breathing normally, while holding breath and while holding breath with face submerged in water. So me and the buds all went to the bridge. I had a terrible feeling about it, but I didn’t let that deter me. After the walk on the train tracks we got to the bridge. My bud Jace walked out into the water first and he said that it was deep enough for us to jump and so did my other bud Brody. The water looked dirty, but that didn’t deter any of us. My bud Jace climbed back up onto on the bridge and he said he wanted to jump off. Even though he wanted to jump he was a little bit scared too, but I don’t blame him for that one bit. After lots of motivation my bud Jace jumped off the bridge. It looked extremely exciting when he jumped.…

This article really gave me a reality check. I had no idea swimming in public and private swimming pools could be this dangerous. I knew to try my hardest to not swallow the water because it contained some contamination, but not nearly this much. This article taught me to look at the bottom of the pool to see if it’s clear or cloudy before going in. It also taught me to wash myself with soup before going in, take bathroom breaks every sixty minutes, and rinse myself before going back into the pool again.…
