Walt Disney Research Paper Outline
Walt Disney was born December 5th 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. In 1918 he attempted to get in the army and did not get in because he was underaged, so instead he joined the red cross driving an ambulance in France with cartoon drawings on it.(Walt Disney) When he returned from France he went to Kansas City to start his career as an advertising cartoonist, he created his first animated cartoon here. He created a company called Laugh-O-Grams which he started to make Alice Comedies (It's about a real girl and her adventures in the real world) soon after he went bankrupt and had to shut down his company.(About Walt Disney - D23)
He did not give up on his dream. He left Kansas for Hollywood with only a few art materials and a completely animated live-action film. His brother ,Roy O. Disney, was already in California ready to support him. They constructed a camera stand

December 21, 1937 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was premiered in Carthay Theater in Los Angeles California. The first full-length movie that is in color and sound. It was also a musical. The film was a success it produces a unheard of cost of $1,499,000 during the Depression.(Walt Disney: Long Biography) In 1939 Disney won 8 Oscar awards, one regular sized trophy and seven small trophies to represent the seven dwarfs.(Walt Disney: 7 Things) Five years after this Disney created more full length movies such a Bambi, Pinocchio, Fantasia, and Dumbo. 1938 after the great success of Snow White, Walt and his brother Roy bought a house for their parents close to the studios.     Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago Illinois and died on December 15, 1966 in Los Angeles California. Walt’s father, Elias Disney, was an Irish-Canadian and his mother, Flora Call Disney, was German-American. Disney was born into a family of five where he was one of the four boys and one girl. While Walt was being brought up on a farm he learned his interest in drawing. After this discovery he contributed to his school paper in Chicago with his artsy talents and during the night he attended the Academy of Fine Arts.     His ambition motivated him to do the unthinkable, even when his ideas failed him he kept looking at the big picture. This mode of thinking lead him to want to “be the first person to create a full length animated movie.”(Warfield) This was in 1933 and at the time this goal seemed outrageous, no one believed it would succeed and that he would go bankrupt like in many of his other attempts at animation.
