He has started doing what he wants, not what everyone else is telling him to do. He called his parents for the first time, he gave Ellie money. Everything he did in the second half of the book he did because he wanted to. Another example of this is everyone (mangers, fans, etc.) is telling him he should date Olivia (co-actor ) not Ellie because it would look better for the movie and business, but he doesn’t want to so he doesn’t before he would have.
The main issue in the book is peer pressure from co-workers, bosses, friends, and family. Graham and Ellie see it in both their lives Graham from co-workers and bosses, Ellie from friends and family. Graham is peer pressured into “dating Olivia” by Olivia and Graham’s manger, because “it will make the movie more appealing to others”. Graham doesn’t fall for it though, while Ellie is peer pressured by mom and best friend Devon to dump Graham, and during the first part of the book she does (they get back

An important action of Ellie was when she blows up a lawnmower and kills three soldiers in order to escape from Mrs Alexander’s garden, which shows the theme of courage, because even though she was reluctant to, Ellie was forced herself to kill them to ensure her and her friend’s safety. The theme of survival is also presented when Ellie think back to when she killed the soldiers – “Had I killed out of love of my friends, as part of a noble crusade to rescue friends and family and keep our land free? Or had I killed because I valued my life above that of others?” Ellie learns that is they were to survive this war, they would have to do anything it takes - even if it meant having to kill soldiers. Loyalty is a theme that is prevalent throughout all the characters in the novel, but Ellie in particular shows this theme the most. Ellie presents this theme by not abandoning Robyn and Lee when they didn’t show up at the allocated place they were meant to meet up at. Although they had to leave first, Ellie still went back to find them. The ways these themes are presented by Ellie are interesting because it shows many aspects of Ellie’s character and personality at the same…

Are there such things are perfect endings? In Terence’s, The Girl from Andros, was his first Roman playwright, which he adapted through translation through Menander’s play. The comedy is formatted like many of Terence’s plays: a complex father-son relationship, a scheming slave, and eventually a happy ending. The “all’s well that ends well” motif is evidently clear in Terence’s first comedy; however, in getting there this play uses the relationship between a slave and his master to show variation in the theme.…

    A Teenage Girl

I chose the scenario, A teenage girl is "in love" with her 17-year-old boyfriend. He is encouraging her to have sex with him saying that he will make sure they only have "protected" sex. This actually happens often these days with youth; they have the want to experiment a lot. There are five components in which wise judgments could be used. First, there is emotional intelligence which has four components; emotional perception and expression, emotional facilitation of thought, emotional understanding, and emotional management. Emotional perception and expression is the skill to recognize your own emotions and recognizing other emotionstoo. This component involves the ability to both express positive and negative emotions correctly as well. Being a teenage girl is hard;there are so many hard decisions to make. So almost every teen girl thinks she is in love at one point in her teenage life. It is like a must to have a boyfriend when you are a teen and the fact he is 17 years old really makes you seem "it". You are not mentally stable when you have "puppy love" feelings, you do whatever to please this guy you love and when you are young you think that guy is in love with you. Being young you really don't know how to act on situations like this, you do what you think is right. When I was 14 years old I had a 17 year old boyfriend and wow, the way I acted was insane, I know now I was never in love. I did any and everything for him and now I look back and think, how could I let someone have so much control, but I was just so young, there were a lot of major decisions to make. On top of everything the encouragement from others is hard as well. If Emotional facilitation of thought came about in this teen girl, she could use her emotions to be more able to help with her decision-making. On the other hand, being a teen, she most likely is not emotionally mature. Emotional understanding is to have the ability to recognize emotions with words, to understand the cause and…
