Unit 3 D1
Daria Amin Evaluate the effectiveness of the use of techniques used in marketing products in one organisation

Apple Apples marketing techniques are decent but I cannot say that they are doing their marketing very good, this is because there are some areas where they could improve in marketing. Apple aims are realistic and good because they have a big target to reach. The problem is that they are not meeting these aims. For example, one of their aims of Apple is to show their strength to the population. Apple are a global business, they do sell products around the world, but they have to be aware that there are other businesses that have a similar business to Apple such as Samsung, Nokia ect, these other business also sell technology but they do not sell music products. All the people are familiar with all these business but there is a small minority of people who don’t know what Apple is, this is because of poor promotion. In my own opinion I think that Apple do less advertising to the public other than Nokia or other tech businesses. Marks and Spencer need to market their products well that’s one thing they need to improve on. Overall Apple need to concentrate on their marketing aims. They also need to understand that their competitors are taking all their customers so they need to do more promotions to compete with the other retail stores. I am fascinated with Apples growth strategy; they are putting effort to create new product for the customers and they are developing their products well. These actions from the company are satisfying the customers. So this lets me believe that their growth strategy is effective as a marketing technique. This is because if the customer is not satisfied with a product, they would have a team who will find out what is wrong with the product. When they find out what the problem is then they will change they will change the existing product into a new one.
They just improve on that product

The company has two major hurdles that it continually must battle to be successful. The first is the rapid advancement of technology in a monopolistic competition. The second is the expectations of its customer base. There is a significant amount of competitors within this market that are constantly dueling to be cutting edge or have the latest technology. The other is the customer base and their requirements to have a product that satisfies their needs and wants for his or her everyday lives. The uniqueness that Apple has is that they are a luxury product maker and thus must provide a product that tips the scale and compels one to want to purchase such a product. Thus far, Apple clearly understands this dynamic and is doing very well and looks to be pulling…

    3. Innovation – Apple’s core products have enjoyed largely rave reviews and enormous profits, but the target market is starting to feel that Apple products are not as revolutionary as before. “In a knowledge-worker organization, people -- the only repository of knowledge -- are the main resource.”(Balanced Score Card Institute, 2012) Apple should continue to ensure the professional development of its managers and engineers. The talents of these people have brought Apple to where it is today. Product development should be another objective. Apple inc. has been doing things right (for them) for quite awhile now. Their ability to innovate, and develop products that are simple to use has been one of the keys to their success.…

The way in which Apple was able to enter these arenas so successfully was due to their differentiators. The beauty in Apple’s products is their simplicity, yet the vast power each product holds. Through eliminating unnecessary components of their products, Apple is able to zone in on the important, essential features and make them as powerful and capable as possible. Furthermore, the depth in which the Apple team scrutinizes and contemplates each detail of each product allows…

As I touched upon in my last paragraph apple in my opinion are on their way to achieved most of their objectives with the new phone however they have also not arguably one or two objectives. The objectives which I think they have achieved are; expanding their sales to customers who don’t own a single apple product, in my opinion they are well on their way to achieving this, because most people have at least one apple product in the household may it be an iPhone, iPod, iPad or Mac computer. Apple’s main problem is their price, because it is a high price people prefer to choice android tablets and phones rather than the iPhone due to price. When you go into the an Apple shop their direct marketing is very impressive the staff which work there are very informative about every product and they act as if they really want to work there, because of this people looking to buy the product are more likely to buy it because of the fact it is so very well explained. Another way Apple are trying to expand their sales to non-Apple customer is by making sure there name is always around with adverts or sponsorships, this way people are hearing about them and seeing the brand.…
