Underpaid and Overplayed Professional athletes are so highly looked up to and are put on such a high pedestal for everyone to see. They are treated like they are gods, they are paid a lot of money to go out and play the sport they are good at. The highest average pay for a Pro athlete is about $7.1 million a year, and the lowest average pay is about $2.6 million a year. Then there are the Soldiers that are risking their lives for our Country and to keep our people and Country safe. The soldiers that are overseas fighting for our country, they sacrifice so much of themselves and their families just to do one thing. The highest average for an Active Duty military member is about $100,000 a year, and the lowest average pay is about $29,000 a year.
Why is it that our country thinks that professional athletes should receive a higher pay? Our country has its priorities all mixed up, this is because the people of our country think that the athletes they watch on TV and at games should be getting paid better. Barack Obama makes around $400,000 a year while Alex Rodriguez makes around $33 million a year. Another job that affects the lives of almost every American is the job of a school teacher. School teachers are very deserving of high pay and yet the average income of a high school teacher is only $43,437. That is only a mere fraction of what some of
