INTRODUCTION UFC, MMA, Ultimate fighting. This is one of the most exciting, exhilarating, and fierce sport in the world today. So why does it need to be banned? No one is being forced to fight or held against their will. They're usually born to fight, just love to fight, and believe or not it even takes out frustrations and personal issues that no one knows about. So I'm going to tell you that UFC shouldn't because it should be spread world-wide for entertainment value, it will even lift some burdens and the training that is done pays off in the long run.

You are putting your life down for the UFC. This isn't anything like professional wrestling where you act everything with different moves, UFC is all real. Sure, both companies train and train thousands of hours but the UFC puts a bang on the toughness to anyone. It pushes ones to their limit that no one could ever imagine or even themselves. So be careful what you wish for if it's professional wrestling or UFC, with UFC you have a greater chance of actually getting hurt but it toughens you up that much more for your next oppenent. On the other hand, it could be they're way to express how they feel. Certain people can't express their feeliings as much as others so they let all their frustrations out on their opponent. Sure, it could be that, but another reason could be ... well they just love to fight. No matter who or what sex it is. It might be their passion. Growing up, people could've been bullies, which triggered a love for hurting someone or causing major destruction. Maybe it could be the other way around. Someone could be being bullied instead of being a bully. Being beat on so many times could've triggered something in their head too. Going through life being humiliated and disrespected can tell a person that they are not going to pass on through life being bullied by everyone and anyone. Their feelings take over and they let all their rage out on the opponent their going against. It makes them feel good about themselves knowing they have found a way to beat on someone LEGALLY without getting sued, arrested, or even worse. If it's not either one of those, then just think about all the training they have put into their

The summer, a time of warm weather, long weekends, friends and holidays. It is also the time where many of us put down the junk food, get off the couch and come out of winter hibernation to enjoy the outdoors. It’s often not long after playing your first game of beach volleyball or running to catch the bus when you realise that your heart is racing, sweat is pouring down your face and you are breathing heavily. As you look up and watch everyone still running around you or as your stepping onto the bus only one thought is running through your mind “WOW I am out of shape!”. Now I am not here today to try and convince you to get into better shape. Starting a fitness routine is a commitment that an individual needs to decide on for themselves when the time is right for them. It is at this time when many people have the same debate, do you shell out the money for a gym membership? or do you invest in a home gym? My goal today is to persuade you so when or if you do decide to start a fitness routine you will choose to or at least consider the benefits of purchasing a gym membership over investing in a home gym. I believe this can be done by examining what many people think are the benefits of investing in a home gym. Which are saving money, convenience, and not having to deal with other members. After looking at these three points it will become clear that not all of them are completely true and joining a gym can satisfy these needs just as well if not better.…

Violence affects many different people in many different ways. Some people find it easier to contain their emotions and keep it personal where as others like to let it all out in the open. For instance, Dallas Winston gets a thrill out of violence and is always stating “Don’t you know a rumble ain’t a rumble unless I’m in it?” (Dallas p.175) When Ponyboy sees no point in all the fighting and questions “Why do I fight? [He] thought, and couldn’t think of any real good reason. There isn’t any real good reason for fighting except self-defence.” (Ponyboy p.166) Violence has many various affects that can cause good or bad outcomes, depending on the person.…

I was wondering if I could come in and talk to you about the physical education requirements needed to graduate. I have my own strict personal workout routine that I do daily, and adding a sport would be both physically and mentally tiring. I understand that I could just stop my routine to save my time and energy for the sport, but I have done this routine for years and it keeps me fit and awakens my brain. The workout applies to my body, my strengths, and my weaknesses personally. I am contacting you to ask for a time that I can come in and talk to you about what the real benefits of and reasons that doing a sport are and how it differs from my personal workout. I also wanted to come in to ask you if there is any alternate possible way to…

PTSD or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following the experience or witnessing of life-threatening events such as the military combat, natural disasters, terrorism incidents, or any major tragedy. This is common in the life of veterans and is the leading cause of suicide among veterans. A VA patient who survived in Baghdad shares his experience with PTSD and explains how he knew he had this disability. Many veterans speak out about this issue and describe their continuous anger, alcohol addiction, and constantly wanted to fight. They usually feel very isolated and distant from their loved ones. One patient states, “PTSD involves rocketing into extreme states of stress re-activity; in the form of terror, rage, and uncontrollable impulses, and plunging into equally extreme states of being shut-down—exhaustion, emotional numbing, despair, and dissociation”. PTSD is about having fear and anxiety, allowing veterans to rage with anger and different emotion. There are many factors to PTSD, which affects others in different ways; or example, using video games to keep them occupied, spending money due to the lack of impulse control because of changes in their brain, and even not obtaining another job.…

Attention Getter: I would like to start my presentation off by telling you all to ask yourselves a series of fairly straight forward questions. I want you to take a look at you’re, any hand and ask your selves “Who’s hand is this?” Do the same with your other hand, and now both legs and your arms if you would like. If I am not mistaking the answer to all your questions are mine right. They are your hands, legs, and arms. What I am trying to get through to you all today is that your body is your body and that a person should be able to profit of his or her own body if done in a safe and controlled way.…

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a full contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques including boxing, wrestling, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, taekwondo, karate, and other styles. Early MMA was internationally popularized by the broadcast of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in November of 1993 (Mixed Martial Arts). In 2009 alone, the UFC had 7.175 million pay-per-view purchases. Then, in 2010, the number grew, and the UFC had 9.25 million pay-per-view purchases (Behind the Numbers). By now, you may be wondering how someone could ever dislike such a popular sport. However, in the United Sates alone, MMA fighting is illegal in five states: Connecticut, New York, Vermont, Alaska, and Wyoming. Not only should it be completely legal everywhere, but it should be encouraged.…
