Throughout the years of the U.S History, women were invisible and did not have a voice nor did they allow women to participate or contribute in any political events. Despite of many men’s belief, women of all color fought courageously to be heard and seen to have equal rights, privileges and giving equal opportunities not just solidly for men. They were more entitled to their husbands then their own opinions. It was a rough journey for all women during this time. Once you got married, it was pretty much the end to a new beginning, “women did not have the right to own their own property, keep their own wages or sign a contract”. They did not have the equal right to be educated, or an option to choose their own professional career, and did not have the right to vote, which only driven the women to become more involved in the suffrage movement. The only power women were in charge of was the taking care of the children, home, and the internal issues, nothing more outside of the home. As days would go by, women were getting more involved in churches, where they began growing their fate in what they strongly believed in. The tensions between women and men was increasingly growing, soon after the civil war began many men took off for battle and left everything to women, which gave many women in the south a chance to a men’s
