Flannery O’Connor’s “A Good Man is Hard to find” and William Faulkner’s “A Rose for Emily”, are two stories written by Southern authors. In O’Connor’s story a Southern family is murdered at the hands of an escaped convict. In Faulkner’s tale, an estranged woman from a wealthy family kills her boyfriend. His rotted corpse is discovered in her bedroom after she dies.
