The robbery
I was serving a lady and her child at the front of the cupcake shop, cute cupcakes. I was placing vanilla and chocolate cupcakes in a box when I heard a gunshot.
My head shot up to the direction of the piercing sound. When my eyes find the attacker he had already shot 5 people, a child and mother and also two men. I froze as I saw the attacker moving towards me. As he was walking towards me I suddenly remembered there was an emergency button if there was ever an emergency the button would automatically call 911. I went to go press the button, but he realises what I’m doing and spits out at me “Don’t you even dare”
I try to be smart and ask
“Don’t dare do what?”
He replies
“Don’t be smart with me, you know what I mean”
I answer back realising that if I keep on acting like a smart Alec I can quickly press the button so I answer
“I don’t know what you mean, what do you mean?” I say shrugging my shoulders.
He answers
“I know you know, just give the act up”
While his talking and is distracted by his own words I press the red button.
I then say
“Ok I surrender”
He then smiles like his accomplished something big. He then says
“Give me all the money in the cash register”
I reply
“No why should I, this shop has deserved it and it will not be taken away by anyone.”
The attacker takes in what has just been said and in one swift move he brings up his gun to my head.
I’m standing there terrified what’s going to happen next but I don’t let my emotions show.
In seconds the police come rushing in trying to get everyone else. But they were too late, the bullet has already left the gun. The bullet hits me right in the chest. The next thing I know is I’m on the ground when my eyes fill with darkness.
I have died trying to save other people, that’s good enough for me.

I looked to my left then to my right, it was dark all around, except for the light emanating from the flashlight mounted on my gun. I cradled my assault rifle, it was my lifeline, if it was gone, I was dead, or worse... Alive. I heard a shriek, not from a human, but from a zombie...... I looked down the alleyway ahead it was fully dark now, I heard running footsteps behind me. I turned around as fast as I could. A blood covered zombie was running toward me, I was scared for my life. I chopped the zombie down with my rifle, the muzzle flashes lighting up the ally. Suddenly I heard the blood curdling cries of many zombie- oh no, I made to much noise. Now they were pouring in from the street into the alleyway I was in. Around forty of them were coming towards me, I turned around to try to escape.. at least five more in that direction. i sprayed the five zombies down with my gun, pulled the pin on a grenade, dropped it, and sprinted in that direction. I made it onto the street.…

2.4 There are many ways in which we can demonstrate how to respond to an individual’s reactions when communicating. A response during communication is needed for the communication to take place. If someone is talking to you and you are not responding, it is difficult for any communication to take place. When you respond to someone, it shows that you are listening to them, which then shows that you understand what they are saying and are interpreting it correctly. However, the response doesn't need to be verbal. A simple nod can even be considered communicating, as long as both participants are aware of each other and understand what is being put forth.…

“It's hard to think when someone's trying to kill you. We human beings aren't wired to be rational and creative when we know our lives are in danger of a swift and violent end. The body has definite ideas of which survival strategies it prefers to embrace, and those are generally limited to "rip threat to pieces" or "run like hell." No thinking need be involved, as far as our instincts are concerned.…
