The India of My Dreams
India attained independence on August 15, 1947. It was rich and strong. It has given to the world great saints, scholars, thinkers, artists and soldiers. My ideal India is modernised. It embodies the best in the cultures of the East and the West. Education is wide - spread, and there is practically no illiteracy. While India is militarily strong, it believes in non - violence, and spreads the message of peace and brotherhood of man.
In this situation, it is natural for the youth of the country to turn to the India of its dreams. A dream often inspires the dreamer to work and strive so that it may come true.
In the India of my dreams, everybody has enough money. Though money is not the end of life, it is essential to the development of one's life. People have freedom of thought and expression.
While the forces of religion pose a threat to the unity of the country. Today people are suffering from many evils. Among these evils are poverty, ignorance, disease, bribery, corruption, indiscipline and disunity.
The India of my dreams will be free from these evils. Its people will have good food to eat. They will have fine clothes to wear. They will have nice houses to live in. They will have proper education. They will be clean and healthy. They will be free and happy. There will be jobs for all. There will be no strikes and ‘morchas’. The people will be peaceful and united.

In sixty years since independence, the country has made tremendous progress. However, it is still for behind the developed counties of the world. India of my dreams is a peaceful, progressive, literate country free from the pangs of poverty, where every citizen feels safe and secure, where health facilities are provided top all and where the women of the country are treated with utmost dignity and respect.

I am proud to be an Indian and dream a lot for my beloved country. The first and foremost dream I have for India is to see her in category of most developed nations of this world. I

I wish to make it an ideal country in the world. I dream of making India a richer, happier and healthier place to live in. I want to see my country progress in all fields of life. Home to the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation and a region of historic trade routes and vast empires, the Indian subcontinent was identified with its commercial and cultural wealth for much of its long history.[10] Four world religions—Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism—originated here, whereas Zoroastrianism, Christianity, andIslam arrived in the 1st millennium CE and also helped shape the region's diverse culture. Gradually annexed by and brought under the administration of the British East India Company from the early 18th century andadministered directly by the United Kingdom from the mid-19th century, India became an independent nation in 1947 after a struggle for independence that was marked by non-violent resistance led by Mahatma Gandhi.…

Endowed with massive human resource talent as well as enormous natural resources, India could have achieved much more than what it has achieved so far. But unfortunately, India is a country of contradictions. India got nuclear bombs, warships, huge army, vast IT talent and skilled workforce, but India is also place for millions and millions of people who have no access to pure drinking water, proper health care, reasonable shelter and social security. India continues where equality of opportunity on the basis of merit is a far cry. In terms of human development index India still has to do a lot of catching up. India with a billion + population is not even a permanent member of the Security Council which speaks of the failure of the system of governance.…

India in 2020 – A Vision It has always been the dream of every citizen of an economically backward and poor country, to see that the country developed with no negative systems or ideas or beliefs. It is my dream also to see India as one of the most developed nations. 2020 is a good deadline for seeing a developed India. One always feels sad when we see someone begging on the streets or when we see dirty, broken roads in shabby slums. One also feels jealous when we hear about the United States advancing in every field. By 2020, India will be on the same platform on which America is now. The first and foremost thing I see in India 2020 is 100 percent literacy rate. Every citizen in the country will be able to read, write and understand any one language including the farmers and slum-dwellers. India will not have any unemployment. The people will earn their bread and there shall be none called ‘beggars’. The beggars will also be employed at least as sweepers earning a small but a salary of their own. The people shall be above the poverty line.ndia in 2020 – A Vision It has always been the dream of every citizen of an economically backward and poor country, to see that the country developed with no negative systems or ideas or beliefs. I love my India not because it is my mother-country. The people around me are lovely. The tradition is something unique. My mother-tongue is the most beautiful language on the earth. The natural beauty spread all over India is really enchanting. The religious touch that we could find among Indians is heart-touching. Besides all these factors, there are many other aspects of India which have attracted my attention to keep me loving it. I want to state only two aspects here becausWe speak different languages. Every 25 kilometer entertains different culture. All the major religions are followed here. Communal clashes are the nature of the day. Political parties are diverse at national as well as the regional level. In spite of all these differences, we feel ONE when it becomes the matter of Indianism. The warmth and hospitality of the Indian people get deepened in spite of this diversity. The economic renaissance is amazing in the recent past. The economic progress of the people has maintained the unity of the people. Indian philosophy of life which is also called is called Sanatan Dharma is prime factor to sustain this unity in diversity.…
