The importance of the reasonable NPK ratios
The reasonable NPK ratios are very necessary for crops’ growing. NPK compound fertilizer is available in liquid or granular form, and some granular fertilizer is in a slow-release formula. A numbering system is used to define the percentages of the three essential plant nutrients. For example, a 20-20-10 fertilizer would contain 20 percent nitrogen, 20 percent phosphorus and 10 percent potassium. Secondary nutrients and trace elements are typically listed.

Henan Daswell Machinery Co., Ltd,is a professional manufacturer and trader specializing in the research, development and production of construction machinery for nearly 30 years. Our main products are as follows:mobile jaw crusher, diesel crusher for sale, mobile diesel jaw crusher, mobile diesel hammer crusher, army type jaw crusher, cement packing machine, etc. We will provide you with the best product and service.
Most NPK compound fertilizer is rated based on the percentage of nitrogen, phosphorous and potassium, using a rubric called NPK. The amount of nitrogen will encourage growth of stems and leaves by promoting protein and chlorophyll. More flowers, larger fruits and healthier roots and tubers will result from added phosphorus, which also helps plants resist certain diseases. Finally, potassium thickens stems and leaves by fostering protein development. This means, for example, that vegetables would do better with an NPK ratio that is different from what is best for roses or orange trees.

    B) One advantage to using inorganic commercial fertilizer is that the nutrients are immediately available to the plants because they are purposely put in there to do so. Some other advantages are that it’s easily obtained, it speeds up the growing process, and you have a specific nutrient analysis. One disadvantage is it is more expensive and it is easily washed below the plants root systems from leeching of rain and irrigation. On top of that, other disadvantages are that is adds no humus or organic matter, it requires large amounts of energy for production, and over application could cause harm to the plant.…

After a false retirement Bill and Jeanne Quain realized their destined action in the plant and shrub business. The need for a high-quality commercial fertilizer prompted the innovation of a blended fertilizer called “Quain-Grow”. Working with chemists at Rutgers University, a mixture was constructed from four compounds, C-30, C-92, D-21 and E-11. The costs for these four compounds per pound is as follows:…

The use of soluble nitrogenous fertilizers in conventional farming, impacts the nutritional value of the food grown (Bacchus 2012, p.25). It leads to an increase in plant growth and development however a decreased allocation of resources towards the production of secondary metabolites (Mitchell & Chassy 2011). These include DNA, RNA, chlorophyll, amino acids and starch and phytochemicals of caffeine, isoflavonoids and phenolic antioxidants (Mitchell & Chassy 2011).…

The common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris) is a fast growing plant and is used commonly in experiments due to its easy testability. It can grow in a variety of conditions and is easy to see the effects of different treatments. The idea of the treatment that we applied to our bean plants came from our class and scientific papers that help back our experiment. Examining many studies on the effects of nitrogen fertilizer on a variety of plants helped us better understand what the fertilizer was doing to the plants. A study done on Brassica plants showed that when nitrogen fertilizer was introduced there was an increase in biomass production, causing lower stress brought on from B phytoextraction increasing plant growth (Chemosphere). A…

Despite being relative to my science project, this article was rather more complex and specific. I can see this article as my science project put into real life application and at a professional level. The goal of my science project is to see how different fertilizers will affect overall plant growth. The goal of this article was to demonstrate the effect of different organic fertilizers on growth, yield, and quality of tomatoes in the sandy soil of North Kordofan.…

Fertilizers have helped farmers and the production of food in this country immensely. They have allowed farmers to have a higher yield of food per acre despite some deteriorating soil conditions. There are three main elements in each bag of fertilizer. They are nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium and are represented on the outside of the bag in that order.…

It is often the most limiting nutrient for cereal grain production and represents one of the highest input costs ($847/ton anhydrous ammonia and $592/ton Urea) in agricultural systems (Nehring, 2013). Nitrogen use efficiency is very low (30-50%) in cereal crops, indicating that much of the nitrogen is lost from gaseous plant emission, soil de-nitrification, surface runoff, volatilization, and leaching (Frink et al., 1999; Mullen et al., 2003; Fageria and Baligar, 2005). Loss of nitrogen causes unnecessary cost of nitrogen application to the farmers as well as negative environmental impacts especially ground water pollution. Nitrogen application in wheat increases grain yield (Caviglia and Sadras, 2001). Altman et al., (1983) found 3% and 8% increased in yield due to the application of nitrogen over the control in two environments at Pendleton, Oregon. The timing of nitrogen application is also one of the critical factors affecting yield. Appropriate management i.e. rate and timing of application of nitrogen is essential to obtain higher yield in wheat production (Blankenau et al., 2002; Cui et al., 2010; Abedi et al., 2011). For the better yield of wheat, it is essential to get enough amount of nitrogen, when crop response is expected to be high (Mullen et al., 2003). Each variety plays a significant role in the nitrogen uptake (Dhugga and Waines, 1989; Ortiz-Monasterio R. et al., 1997). Hergert and Shaver (2009) recommended the optimum nitrogen rate of 112.1 kg ha-1 (100 lbs. acre-1) for dryland and 168.1 kg ha-1 (150 lbs. acre-1) in irrigated areas for winter wheat cultivars of…

Sulfate of ammonia is an important source of nitrogen for plants. Chemical reaction and bacteria in the soil turns ammonium compounds into nitrates which are fertilizers for the plants. Nitrates are very essential for healthy growth of plant. It is also used as an agricultural spray adjuvant for water soluble insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides. The salts’ function is to bind iron and calcium cations that are present in both water and plant cells.…

The overall Asian fertilizer market has grown at a CAGR of 3.3% over the period of 2006-2012 and the total consumption of fertilizers reached ~ thousand nutrient tons in 2012. The macro nutrient segment which comprises of nitrogen, phosphate and potash fertilizers has mainly been driven by the nitrogen fertilizers which comprised of more than half of the overall nitrogen market in most of the Asian economies particularly in East and South East Asia.…

The research draws attention to the fact that over the 90 day trial the Complete nutrient formula containing both nitrogen and phosphorous had the heaviest wet and dry weight with better quality florescence needed for maximum production in the cropping industry. On the other hand the other plants lacking the number of tillers, seed head and overall quality of the florescence show signs of deficiencies being smaller in size and slight ‘off colour’ on the leaves and base of the plant.…
