This is done to reduce the use of raw materials that would have been used. Recycling also uses less energy and and great way of controlling air, water and land pollution.
Effective recycling starts with household (or the place where the waste was created). In many serious countries, the authorities help households with bin bags with labels on them. Households then sort out the waste themselves and place them in the right bags for collection. This makes the work less difficult. What is greenhouse gasses ? People ask that question everyday and most don’t believe it. Greenhouse gases trap heat in the atmosphere, which makes the Earth warmer. People are adding several types of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere, and each gas's effect on climate change. Carbon dioxide is the most important greenhouse gas emitted by humans, but several other gases contribute to climate change, too.

The first step is to collect recyclables at a drop off center within the complex. The center should be located near the trash dumpster so residents can make one trip with all their waste. The drop off center should be able to hold the most common household recyclables: plastic, cardboard, and newspaper. Second, we need to recognize the barriers to participation and how to successfully promote residents to accept recycling behaviors. We can design brochures with information about how recycling can benefit the environment. Residents should be informed of the recycling process, the cost benefits, and the reduction of waste in our…

Recycling and waste prevention are two very important ways to help address the issues of the environment concerning climate change. Recycling is a very beneficial factor that more individuals need to exercise in order to improve the environment’s pollution, reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, and save energy and natural resources that are used to produce products from virgin materials rather than from recycled materials, which uses less energy and produces less harmful pollution. Recycling has many benefits that helps improve the earth’s conditions. Waste prevention and recycling are real ways to address these problems and begin to make a change. Recycling turns materials that would otherwise become waste into valuable resources, reducing the amount of natural resources needed to produce these same products. Collecting your used bottles, cans, and newspapers and taking them to a recycling bin or collection facility is just the first step, in a series of steps that generates a host of financial, environmental, and social returns. These benefits accrue locally as well as globally. Recycling protects and expands United States manufacturing jobs and increases United States competitiveness by creating more recycling jobs and facilities within the United States and producing more of our own products with recycled materials and being less dependent on outside countries and companies for these products. Recycling prevents pollution caused by the manufacturing of products from virgin materials.…

Recycling has been a well known idea for so many years, but now we need it more than ever. Now in the world there are so many problems with the environment like Global Warming, toxic waste, and not to mention not recycling is very costly but recycling reduces the landfill space, helps conserves natural resources, and reduces the production of greenhouse gases . When you recycle you also help save animals so the rims of a six pack of soda doesn’t end up blocking a fish's gills or a plastic bag getting eaten by a turtle and having it choke on the bag. Recycling can also be a group effort where you get a group of people from your community, school, church, job, or just you and your friends so not only your saving the environment but your having fun with people you know while doing it.…

If the trash is continuity dumped in a landfill many miles away you just happen to forget about it, however people won’t forget if a landfill just happens to fall next to a home. Well with the growing amount of trash the amount of landfill space is growing smaller and smaller. A portion of the material is burned emitting harmful gasses to the surrounding land. The majority, however, is thrown into a landfill and forgotten. “Liquids that get thrown away will seep through the ground and could harm the soil.” (unknown). When the liquids are thrown away, they can seep into the ground and cause damage to the plants. When this damage is don’t to the plants it also affects the wildlife’s food. Individual concern about the environment enhances the effect of the recycling program, but does not overcome the barriers presented by lack of access (Derksen and Gartrell 1993). Using past sociologic studies and retrospective data derived from recycling participation studies and polling figures of cities across the world; the results show that recycling participation is dependent on geographic location. Though, there are many factors within the geographic location that enable the success of a recycling program or inhibit a recycling program such as land fill ability, education in public schools, personal environmental feelings of the citizens and legislation by the geographic location government.…

Is recycling really going green with the environment? Or is recycling just a way to go for green material known as dollars? Recycling is a method in which materials that are not used anymore by people are processed in order to transform them in useful products. In the recent years, recycling has caused a lot of controversies whether if it is a good way to go green and help planet’s health or if it is just a big misconception driven by the media and the government. Some experts in the issue affirm that this practice is still running because recycling was transformed into a political issue that helps government and environmentalists to win money and create jobs. Many people, politicians and non-profit organizations support recycling, generally based on misconceptions; while there are other people that do not support it based on facts. Recycling should not be mandatory because it is very expensive, it will not save the planet’s environment and it does not save natural resources.…

The earth, as we know it, is slowly becoming a landfill. Mountains of garbage are accumulating everywhere. Garbage is accumulating not only on land but in the ocean as well. If this continues the earth itself will become a giant landfill. The air will become greatly polluted as well as the water. These unhealthy habits must change. One healthy way to reduce the large amount of garbage on earth is to recycle. Although it may be easier to just throw a bottle or soda can into a trash, as many lazy Americans do, recycling those items can be very beneficial. What everyone knows but refuses to address is that recycling is a healthy habit, not just for us but for the world. One reason that many people don’t recycle is because their neighborhoods don’t offer it. Many Americans would also rather just throw their recyclable items in the trash because they are too lazy to take it to a recycling bin. Recycling can create many jobs and in time improve the economy. Recycling can also save natural resources, save energy, reduce pollution and conserve landfill space. In order to save the earth, the world needs to recycle more. It should be mandatory that every community in the world has an area for recycles. Garbage companies could even hire people to go through garbage and pick out the recyclable items.…

Environmental protection and recycling are currently immature processes in Turkey. As reported by Turkish Statistical Institute, there are 34 million ton urban waste and 17,5 million ton industrial waste in 2004; however, recycling rates are so low. For instance, recycling rate of paper is 40% in 2012 in Turkey; on the other hand this rate is about 70% in European Union countries. Additionally, in comparison to high packing waste recycling average rate 30% of Europe, Turkey lagged far behind the average (Gönüllü 2). This problematic condition caused by two main problems, insufficient physical structure and unconsciousness of people. There are 208 collecting and separating facility and 171 recycling center in Turkey (Kılınç 2).
