The Importance Of Injury In Professional Football
With only a few days remaining until the beginning of the 2015 National Football League season, Buffalo Bills coaches and fans have been growing concerned about the availability of keys players going into the season opener in Buffalo against a very tough Indianapolis Colts team.

With the release of Friday's injury report, many of those concerns have been put to rest. While wide receivers Robert Woods (hip), Percy Harvin (hip) and Chris Hogan (knee) have all been nursing injuries through the preseason, it appears as though all of them should be ready to go since there injury status is currently listed as "probable." The more pressing issues were injuries to recently signed free agent and former All-Pro running back LeSean McCoy (hamstring) and 2nd-year star wide receiver Sammy Watkins (glute). The good news is both players are also listed as probable and should be on the field Sunday.

After a terrific rookie season, the Bills are counting on big things from Watkins. In his first year in the league, he caught 65 passes for 982 yards and 6 touchdowns. For passes and yards, he established new franchise records. More amazingly, his feats were accomplished Kyle Orton at quarterback. While Orton might be considered a serviceable veteran in the NFL, the Bills look to have upgraded the position by awarding the starting job to Tyrod Taylor who

There was little doubt he would become an elite receiver and this was something the Bills had been looking to find for a long time. After his brilliant rookie year, Watkins came into camp ready to take the next step. While he knew he needed to take snaps with his new QB, he spent most of the preseason on the sidelines with general soreness in his glute. Of course, Watkins is a true professional who spent some extra time with Taylor between preseason games to make sure the combination is going to be on the same page come game
