The Higher the Better
The Higher the Better
In the short story “The Damned Hman Race” by Mark Twain, he mentions that the human race consider themselves as the “highest animal”. The term “highest animal” generally means, to me, that they are better in every category than the other animal species. In my opinion, we humans are the “lowest animal”. This opinion of mine is judging from our violence, insults, discrimination and lack of survival skills that we are known for globally. We are known for racial discrimination against anyone different from us. There is discrimination against race, gender, wealth, religion, disabilities, and where you live. Yes, we have had laws forbidding these discriminations (for example amendment fourteen in the U.S Constitution), but they still go on everywhere in this modern day world. Animals do not discriminate. When one Leopard has more or different colored spots than another, it doesn’t make them treat one another differently. They treat one another better than the humans do. With discrimination usually comes violence. Adolf Hitler discriminated against Jews, so he punished them by burning them to death or he put the Jews in concentration camps. Americans discriminated against African Americans, so because of that we punished them by making them our slaves, gave them no rights, and we abused them. We abuse and punish other human beings who are not like us and receive pleasure from it. Other animals on the other hand, fight over food (food chain wise) or mating. Many human beings feel the need to abuse the innocent with no reason at all, as in, abusing or molesting younger humans. When It comes into animal terms, they do eat and hunt other animals but for survival. We abuse the children for ne reasonable reason at all, which is very cruel
Think of this, if a human being was out in the wild with no phone, human food, and water, how long would they last? If you put a strong human being and a lion in a cage together to fight, who would win? Animals

Jeremy Rifkin expresses his knowledge on how animals are compared to humans in his article “A change of heart about animals.” Rifkin argues that science has shown that the differences between animals and humans are less than we think. I agree that animals are very similar if not close to being on the same level as humans. Most people would assume that animals are very different from us; this could be due to the inabilities we think we have to communicate with animals.…

Jeremy Rifkin 's article, “A Change of Heart About Animals” argues that animals are more like humans than we imagine and as a result should be treated with the care that they deserve. Rifkin develops and supports his argument using facts about the animals and these facts end up touching hearts. In order for Rifkin to get his point across he uses a smart technique by using pathos and plays with the emotions of his audience. Rifkin loves animals and his passion and love evokes emotions that the audience can feel. Animals can feel and have emotions similar to ours. in agreement with Rifkin, I argue that it is wrong and inhumane to kill or abuse animals because they feel, they deserve to have space and should be valued as much as humans are It is wrong no animal should be killed due to abuse or testing, it is wrong and inhumane.…

Animals and humans were created to coexist on this earth and therefore should receive fair treatment. Many cannot fathom the idea of initiating legal rights for animals. Some may even perceive it as absurd to dedicate and focus time on non-human animals. The main problem is that humans have advanced significantly, establishing a complex intellect that other species lack. Humans possess many capabilities that are distinct from those of others.…

Mark Twain says that the human race I cruel, and uncivilized. Unlike the animals, humans have the ability to care for those who are weak, sick, and otherwise unfortunate. In the wild if an animal is sick or weak, they are abandoned by their own species and are, ultimately, a source of food for another. The wounded are killed without a hesitation.…

Animal cruelty is a very severe issue. It happens all over the world, it can happen to any kind of animal, A farm animal, a pet, or even a wildlife animal. People tend to think that animals can be treated in a bad way because they aren’t “humans.” An animal is supposed to be treated as anyone would be treated in a good way and respectfully, they do have feelings just like we all do. Although animals aren’t human beings we all have the right to be treated equally. Animal abusers should be punished in a very serious manner; there should be consequences for mistreating an animal.…

Sociologists argue that race is a social construction. This was initially introduced as a way to justify the inequalities that people faced, often because of skin color. The minority group is often taken advantage of by the majority group for the obvious reason, because they are the majority and can so why not? People usually do what's in their best interest, and if making one group suffer for your gain is what it takes, many people will resort to that. The minority often suffer through prejudice, discrimination and sometimes even genocide as seen during WWII. Looking at dogs and cats, they have so many different breeds which is equivalent to human races, we may favor one breed over another because of preference, but we don't go around kicking one breed of dog because we don't like something about their physical…

Humans are descendents of other animals. I believe that over time animals change to fit the needs of their environments, and that is how after a long span of time humans came to be. Humans could be described as super-domesticated animals because they act like other domesticated animals. Humans are superior because they have more power and are more advanced than the other domesticated animals.…
