George Lucas: George Walton Lucas is an American entrepreneur, screenwriter, producer, and director. He was born in Modesto, California on May 14th, 1944. He had an obsession with racecars as a child, which later inspired some of his films. A tragic car accident made him leave the world of racing when he was 18. Lucas then started focusing on his career as a director. He attended and graduated college at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. During his college days he was part of The Dirty Dozen, which was a group of students that had a passion for film and made short films in their free time. In 1971 he founded Lucasfilms. This company is responsible for several well know movie such as "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars". In 1983, Lucas and two of his co-workers begun an animation system that branched off from Lucasfilms.
Ed Catmull: Edwin Earl Catmull is a computer scientist and also the current president of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Pixar Animation Studios. He was born on March 31st, 1945 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. He had dreamed of becoming a feature film animator as a child after watching the Disney movies "Peter Pan" and "Pinocchio". Instead of pursuing his love of film he studied math and physics at the University of Utah. He worked for several companies before he was offered a spot at Lucasfilms in 1979. His job was to develop state-of-the-art computer technology for the film industry, and he became the head of Lucasfilm's computer division.
John Lasseter: John Alan Lasseter was born January 12th, 1957 in Hollywood, California. He is an American animator, film director, screenwriter, and producer. Currently he is the chief creative officer at Pixar and Walt Disney Animation Studios. He was exposed to creativity in his youth because his mother was an art teacher. His love to draw and create inspired him to leave Pepperdine University and attend the California Institute of the Arts where he
