Summary of Case of Purchasing Classic Porsche
The case is revolving around the James, who is the owner of a Porsche 911 of 1980 car willing to sale and Robert a potential buyer of this classic car. James has placed an advertisement in Classic Cars Weekly Magazine offering for £40,000. Robert saw the advertisement on Thursday and called James saying that he could purchase this classic car for £35,000 only. James replied that he cannot accept anything less than £37,500 and is not selling it before Monday. In the meanwhile, Robert considered this price and called James on Saturday for giving him acceptance for the offer. In the given case of James and Robert, it is important to note that Robert did not accept the offer given by James at the moment and hence, there was no contract in place. However, he called James on Saturday but could not talk to him due to his unavailability and left a message of his acceptance to his offer of thirty seven thousand five hundred pounds for the Porsche 911.
