The Call Matt Kennon Analysis
Matt kennon wrote The Call in 2010 about friendship and how much it matters in a person's life.
Theme sentence- Friendship is important because it can help you through the toughest time of your life. By saying “You better not miss it 'cause buddy I swear
It won't be the same If you ain't there” , Matt Kennon explains that friendship helped a man out of a tough time and that his friends care about him. When Matt Kennon said, “And I told that girl that you like so much You were coming along and her eyes lit up”, demonstrates that there is another girl that likes him so he has friends to rely on. Another quote said by Matt kennon that demonstrates friendship is “I better let you go man I really hope I didn't catch you in the middle of anything He said you kinda did but I don't mind at all I'm glad you called” shows that the friendship changed the guys mind about ending his life and how powerful a simple call from your best friends can be.

Friends are never apart maybe in distance, but never in heart. I believe this is the overall message she is trying to say. Throughout the story Matt has to learn that some people aren’t going to be his friend and that he needs to be thankful for the friends he has or has had. Celia, Tam Lin, and Maria show that they really care about him as the story moves…

I had always heard what ‘regular people’ felt about friendship. That it’s not dissimilar to coming home, like being respected and valued. That no matter what, someone would care for you, but I find it hard to believe them. I’m not like the other boys, dreaming of becoming friends with someone. All I dream about here is the long, stone white empty corridors, sounds of laughter, happiness drifting through thin walls but never quite reaching me.…

In the essay “Best Friends,” Howard Salomon Jr. expresses his feelings about friendship; he also interviewed some people and took conclusions from it, and tells a story about his personal life. A friend is a person who is chosen by each of us to be part of each peoples’ life. There are two kinds of friends: friends, and best friends. Best friends are those friends who no matter what are their situation, if his or her friend needs them; they are going to do the best in order to help their best friend. Twenty people were interviewed and all of them agreed in three requirements for being friends: reciprocity, honesty, and love. Reciprocity, honesty, and love are important traits in friendship, but I believe that the most important trait to be friends is to be unconditional.…
