At 7:30 in the morning, students are not fully alert, and their brains are not at full capacity. Giving them a longer amount of time to sleep in the morning would improve alertness, focus, and ability to learn, which would lead to better overall performances in school. Even if school were to start just an hour or two later, this would give the students more time to come to school focused and ready to learn. Starting school later would also greatly improve student attendance. Since school begins so early in the morning, some students sleep in instead of going to school because they are too tired and completely exhausted. If they had an extra hour or two, students would be more motivated to arrive at school on time. Both attendance and overall performance would be greatly improved if school were to start
