“As much as preaching to day needs the authority of God’s Word, it also needs the power of the Holy Spirit. In addition to our strong emphases on the text of Scripture, we must place and equally strong emphasis on the Holy Spirit, who empowers us to preach the Scriptures. The resurgence of expository preaching has lacked a fresh and substantive look at the Spirit’s role in preaching. We cannot separate the Word from the Spirit or the Spirit from the Word; we need both the Spirit and the Word to powerfully proclaim the Scriptures”. This book provides too much content for me to give a thorough review of it in just 4-5 pages. Therefore, my intention will simply be to offer four points that will be divided into two different sections. Section One will cover three areas of the book that I strongly agree with and personally identify with the most as a young preacher myself. Section Two will cover just one general area that will shed some light on how I thought the book could’ve been expressed better. It’s not so much that I disagree with any of the content, nevertheless,
