It is, it is said, easy to sit up and take notice. What is difficult is standing up and taking action. Today we are celebrating the fact that someone stood up and took that action. Today we are celebrating enthusiasm, commitment and sheer hard work of KLIUC’s top achievers.

Enthusiasm is often neglected as a force. Yet without it there would be few achievements. Enthusiasm, you see, sets fire to the imagination. It asks "What if?" and "If I did?" and the results depend on the answer to those questions.

Today then we are honouring those who asked those questions and committed themselves to finding the answers. We are honouring those who worked late into the evening and early in the morning. We are about to present awards to the winners who wouldn't take "No" for an answer.

Congratulations. KLIUC is very proud of you, the potential first class students who work very hard to reach this level. Dean's List Award Presentation Ceremony is held to honor top achievers who have successfully proven that the CGPA of 3.75 and above is possible through relentless hard work and perseverance.

Being achievers, we hope you will set a good example to your fellow university mates. Not only that, outside the university, we hope that you will become KLIUC's Goodwill Ambassadors who promote the university's name through your contribution to the society.

The secret of success is constancy to purpose. Therefore, stay focused. Aim to be in the Dean's List every time it is held. The award will definitely help make your resume appear outstanding in landing your dream career.

We believe that the strong

The first and second inaugural addresses compare and contrast in many ways to show the different views of national identity that Abraham Lincoln shows throughout the speeches. In John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address, the author shifts from a powerful tone to an instructive tone by setting an example for other countries, inspiring the younger generations of Americans, and instructing his fellow Americans. Kennedy shows a powerful and tone when he says “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any for to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” Kennedy also shows a powerful tone to America’s young people when he states, “We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans- born in in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage- and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.” Kennedy then shifts his tone to instructive when he advices his citizens to “ask not what America will do for you- ask what you can do for your country.” Kennedy shifts from a powerful tone to an instructive tone in his inaugural address by setting an example for other countries, inspiring the younger generations of Americans, and by instructing his fellow Americans.…

My grades are my top priority. Classmates in school admire me and call me “smart”, I, in the other hand, do not think of myself as smart. I was recently honored by Kiwanis as being in the academic varsity in my class, having one of the ten best cumulative gpa’s in the school. I have balanced many extracurriculars while maintaining a weighted gpa of 4.6 and an unweighted gpa of 3.99. I have received an academic letter and been on the honor roll for all four years of high school, and earned the Academic Boosters award in social studies. Furthermore, I have received a number of scholarships in recognition of my efforts both from the community and from Universities. My academic achievement stems from a lifelong love of education that I have drawn upon countless times for strength and inspiration, especially during some of my more difficult classes such as AP Chemistry and IB Physics. My parents and teachers have always been so supportive of me, and my eagerness to learn paired with a phenomenal support system have allowed me to achieve all that I have thus…
