Should Schools Attend School Later?
Many teens and children don't get as much sleep as they need, whether they slept late or due to personal reasons. Some may say that it is okay for teens to go to school at 7:45 AM or even 7:00 AM, but it causes kids to not be focused and increase the number of students that have failed. I agree that schools should extend the school day so it can start later on in the morning. Source number two sates that if teens go sleep late when they wake up they will be tires in the morning. Due to students staying up late then waking up early, the simple task of staying focused or awake in class is pretty challenging. While they are unfocused in class it is hard for them to learn anything which simply causes them to get involved in crimes like drinking

I think that starting the school day later would greatly benefit the students and teachers. if we started school at about say nine thirty in the morning instead of eight thirty or earlier, that would mean that most students wouldn't need to be awake in the morning till almost seven thirty to eight thirty and some kids could even wake up a little later then that depending on where they live. granite it is proven that high school students only need six to eight hours of sleep each night but there is always that few that never get the six to eight hours of sleep.…

An issue that comes along with changing the high school hours are the diverse amounts of after school activities. With ending school later, these activities would have to end later also. A teenager's natural sleep clock wants to go to bed later anyway, so it would not affect that teenager if he or she gets home late. For intense, a teenager who plays volleyball is used to getting out of practice at 5:30 p.m., instead she would get out at 7:30 p.m.. As it is, we students already feel as if we have almost no time within each day for personal matters. I will present points that will strengthen my argument and show why we cannot allow this to happen.…
