Should Everyone Go To College
In “Should Everyone Go To College?” Isabel Sawhill and Stephanie Owen makes a solid valid point on whether or not college is for everybody. For many students ready to leave high school, wondering whether they should attend college is an issue that may lay heavy on one teenagers mind. There are few factors that could be a difficult decision depending on a person’s goals they are working towards. Some students jump straight into the work field after graduation high school. Others teenagers, may sign up for the military after graduation. While these are some options, research says higher education is very important in one’s life. Sawhill and Owen say, “Even within a school, the choices a student makes about his or her field of study and later career can have a large impact on what he or she gets out of their degree.” (PG.214-215). Parents and counselors should help future college student’s access informative information about intuition so they know what they are investing in and credentials earning through the college …show more content…
I believe that attending college will. The significant numbers of college students, achievements of the institutional experiences includes not just a Bachelors and Associate degree but also a great chance to transfer to a four year institution. College is not only getting a decent paying job but putting the effort into acquiring ones knowledge. There are many goals to be reached such as expanding ones knowledge, cognitive learning and performance skills. College is what someone makes out of it when putting the effort into it. It can be a great time in anyone life, if they chose to want it. Taking the pessimistic view about it and thinking college may not be a smart move or investment. Or college can be looked at as exciting and challenging time for the rest of someone
