Seven Habits Profile
Based off the “Seven Habits Profile” I can be entrusted to keep commitments I make to others. I treat others the way I would like myself and my family to be treated. I also like to take care of my physical health because I know it will influence my mental health and in turn help me to be an optimal leader. I focus my efforts on building relationships with others and I am sensitive to how others feel in situations. I am a very organized person, and I like to have clear weekly plans on what is to be accomplished. This allows me to stay on task and keep others on task as well. I realize I need to work on taking responsibility for any bad moods I have and not let those emotions from mishaps interfere with my professional life. I also would like …show more content…
I value the opinions of others and consult with my business partners or staff when necessary. I value my relationships personally and professionally, so I try to nurture those relationships by building team morale whenever possible. When I set my mind to a goal, I will leverage all resources to achieve that goal. I set small, attainable weekly goals to reach bigger, long term goals. Having a family business that includes my husband and children, I tend to take a diplomatic approach to leadership. I try and avoid conflict when possible with my spouse, holding in opinions about various issues to prevent any impending disputes. When trying to give feedback it can be considered too harsh or interpreted as a personal attack, so many times feedback or opinions are simply left unsaid. This can cause problems in management because it can hinder the growth of the overall business. I am always looking to improve myself professionally, emotionally, physically, and mentally. According to Rooke (2005), “Experts are great individual contributors because of their pursuit of continuous improvement, efficiency, and perfection” (p.6). I use my knowledge and expertise to leverage my leadership in my business
