Semester Project
In order to replace human senses, computers needed input devices for perception and data entry. Since computers have been created, there have been many improvements to where they are now and I still believe there is much more to be done with computers. Although computers have their own brain they still do what humans tell them to do. Computers can solve problems and look up certain data, but it is all based upon what it is told to do by the operator. This leads me to the topic of what is still missing. The piece that is still missing from computers being able to replace human senses is the fact that they are not able to think on their own. As mentioned earlier, can operate by producing outcome, but they have to be told what functions to do. Computers do not also have emotions or the ability to think on their own which is something humans can do. The only thing computers can be accomplished to improve in this area would be for the computers to act as robots where they would have a mind of their own, but still in that sense they would still have to be told what to do or programmed in a way to be able to operate. A huge achievement in this area would be the programs that are installed on the computers that allow them to provide output and data. An example of this would be the operating systems that the computers have installed. With these programs, they computers can produce the output that the humans have asked the computers to do. Now when you purchase a computer, it comes with these operating systems already installed whereas before when you would purchase a computer, you will still have to go out and purchase an operating system and then install it on the computer. Without the operating system, the computer would not be able to function at all like a human.
In order to be able to store data and process it like a human brain, computers needed processors and memory. Memory is any kind of data stored up that can be used to apply/develop certain

    My Fall Semester Project

I thought that this fall semester project was fairly simple in the process that my group took to completing it. For this document based question essay, my group has had prior knowledge of the topic we chose which was the British having control over the colonists during the American Revolution. Since we had prior knowledge on this subject, it was pretty easy finding documents that we could use for our document based question. Most of the documents we chose were ones that we have already learned about in previous history classes. For example, some of the documents were acts passed during this time like the Stamp Act. We knew the effect that each individual act had on the colonists which helped our decision making progress. Some of the other documents that we used we found on some good American history document websites. These websites had hundreds of documents that had to do with the British and the colonists affairs during the American Revolution which gave my group plenty to choose from. Even though there were hundreds to choose from, only some had to do with the question and subject we were working with so that narrowed them down quite a bit. After finding the first 15 documents, we narrowed down the list to 10, taking out the least important ones. Some of the 15 documents were obviously less important than others which made it a lot easier to narrow down. After narrowing down the documents, one of the more difficult parts of the project came which was grouping the documents into 3 groups for the essay. One obvious group for our documents was the "act group" which had all of the acts and laws restricting colonists to do certain things during that time. The second group was the "big events group" which had all of the major events that the British did when controlling the colonists like the Boston Tea Party or the Boston Massacre. The final group was the "map, charts, etc. group" which had the charts or…

Since the beginning of time, man has thought up and brought to fruition countless inventions. Each has been more ingenious than the last. The human mind has created such brilliant things, but the computer may have been its greatest creation. It is ever changing, evolving and growing “smarter”. However, as the computer has evolved, mankind's value may be threatened. The computer has already begun to overtake many of the vital functions that man has prided himself upon. While neither the mind nor the computer are perfectly productive on their own, they complement each other, and together create a more efficient way of living.…
