school council speech
my council speech

i would like to be school council because i have the ability to work with peoplle and voice peoples opinion. think that you should find out what people expect someone from the student council to give them, and find a way to do this. For example, if your class wants more sports and less homework, write a speech using lots of emotive and authorative language ("I hate!" "We want!") to get your point across, and act like its the biggest deal and the most important thing to you that your class gets more sports, even if its not. Speak really clearly and passionately about how YOU are the right person for the job. Just pretend that you are running for president instead of school council, and that this is your one shot, so you have to put EVERYTHING into it. thats what helped me, I wrote a speech about everything I was passionate about in my school and I got chairperson of the school council.
Good luck I hope you get it :) think that you should find out what people expect someone from the student council to give them, and find a way to do this. I have been active in the two Middle School awareness clubs, like Zero Tolerance, and the now defunct Cultural Awareness for Everyone (CAFÉ). In Zero Tolerance, we have collaborated each year to make a public service announcement that shows the middle school why bullying is very damaging to students and a school, and especially to such a tight-knit community such as this one. In CAFÉ, which unfortunately was only around when I was in 6th grade, we went to all of the advisories and gave presentations on topics such as the disadvantage of stereotypes, and why we shouldn't base things on stereotypes. A last thing that I bring to the Academy is my citizenship. I have been good at leadership all my life, and I think that I am someone that classmates feel that they could lean on, that they can count on me. I also can be a reliable source for information. I want to keep doing these things and add some service as I continue into the Upper…

Fund raising is a big part of the first three years of being class president; it feels like it never ends. As a freshman, we did a lot of food fundraisers; Zap-A-Snack, lollipops, and candy grams. I delivered the candy grams in a Santa suit, and the officers dressed up as elves and reindeer. Sophomore year we sold chocolate, candy grams, catalog items, and a few other things. Junior year was the hardest year of all, because of Prom! That year we set up Powder Puff, and the seniors were nice enough to let us keep all the money, and considering we did all the work, it was the right thing to do. Also, we sold lots of different boxes of chocolates, and once again sold Zap-A-Snack, and a few other items.…
