comparing and contrasting various aspects of the choices that are available to us. We compare and contrast what to eat, where to eat, when to study, how to study, what mode of transporlation to take etc. Whenever we have to make decisions, we consider the similarities and differences, and evaluate all the relevant aspects that concern the choices we have to make.

Similarly, in a comparison-contrast essay, we present the similarities and differences between two ideas or topics. When we compare two ideas, we present their similarities and when we contrast two ideas, we present their differences. ****r**r,*q, &'T*Wq*
When you choose a topic, be sure to choose two related subjects. You can starl with subjects that have a few basic similarities. For instance, you could choose to compare

or contrast two transportation modes, two computer models, two insurance plans or two countries.

You and your classmates are planning to go for a shorl holiday during the semester break. Some of your classmates are keen to go to Cameron Highlands while others frefer Genting Highlands.
