A major decision that all adults will face is deciding if it better for them to rent or own their residence. I am going to show it is far more cost effective to live in a rental property rather than owning a property. The average cost of living in a rental property is far less than living in property that is owned. The comparison in the cost of rent versus the cost of a mortgage combined with the extra expenses of owning a home will show the basic savings a person will incur when renting his or her residence. There are other benefits that renters have over owners, the amenities that cost extra as a home owner. With these facts exposed, there is a clear understanding of why it is a better option to rent than own.…
Pros and cons on why people tend to take their personal car on trips instead of renting are because of the convenience and the flexibility, with having your own car you can create your own schedule without a timetable. You have the ability to extend your vacation longer with catching on extra charges for not returning the car at its schedule time. Don’t have to pay extra fees like extra mileages, insurance, certain models, being a certain age and fill the gas back up from where you receive it. Having the wrong car for the weather you could encounter based on your destination also being responsible for what every may happen to the vehicle no matter what happens.…
As a mother you want to make the best decisions for your children. In my case I always want to make the best decision for my child. I have a 10 year old amazingly wonderful young man, who is polite, helpful, a straight “A” student, and also the most important reason I began to weigh the option of moving. I moved into a two bedroom apartment the day after I brought my son home from the hospital which also extended an emotional attachment to “my space”. For ten years this was the place we called home. My son attended the same elementary school that I attended as a child, and was able to grow up and play in my parents’ neighborhood which is only a short distance away. While the apartment had its perks there were also many reasons that a move may be necessary.…

In the final essay I will use definitions and compare and contrast. Using definitions and compare and contrast will attract the reader’s attention. Definitions will define words that the reader’s may not know. When comparing the topic “Renting an Apartment versus Buying a House” will let the reader’s know the similarity of both. When contrasting the topic “Renting an Apartment versus buying a house will let the reader’s know the difference. If I decide not to use definitions and compare and contrast, the essay may attract the reader but will leave questioning at the end of the essay. The reader’s will want to know why should they rent an…
Renting now can make things become a bit easier later. Saving money is what every American wants to do. Buying a home can not only hurt someone financially but it can put them in a bind that can have them paying a bill for the rest of their life. The economy is on a rollercoaster right now so making the decision to buy a home can be a tad bit tricky. Buying a home is not a one time transaction because once you have the home you continue to pay bills such as mortgage fees and cosmetics. Thinking about the money that you may have to come out of is a good enough reason on why you would want to save up money to take care of some of the fees that will occur when making the decision to buy a home.…

There is a variety of reasons why young people are not buying homes anymore. People aged 25 to 34 is averaging 8.2 percent unemployment rate (Walsh, 2012). This generation is also getting higher-than-ever student loan debt and low wages. Many young people, who have a decent job, are trying to pay down debt instead of getting more. If you own your home, you can claim your property taxes on your tax return. You can also get a tax credit if you make certain renovations to your home to make it more energy efficient - like energy efficient appliances and windows. This one is pretty minor, but assuming you have a fixed rate mortgage, your payment should stay the same. This provides a nice protection against inflation. Renters on the other hand, will watch their monthly payments rise as inflation rises. One of the things my boyfriend and I are most excited about is the ability to customize our house. Apartment living is full of rules and restrictions of what you can and can’t do. I am excited to have the freedom to paint the walls, landscape, and install a new faucet – if I would like.…
Being a homeowner is a dream and goal that many people want to achieve in life. If you being a college graduate means that you get more money, then you will have a higher and faster chance of being able to be a homeowner. The Newsela article“Pay gap between college grads and everyone else at a record” states, “ High school-only grads are less likely to own homes. 64% are current homeowners, down from 70% in 2000. By contrast, three-quarters of bachelor's degree holders are homeowners, down slightly from 77% in 2000, according to real estate data firm Zillow”(Newsela,pg.1). This means that many more adults who have earned their bachelor's degree have a high chance of being able to own a house, that high school graduates…

I had a hard time finding a place to live because of my credit, I struggled financially because of my lack of savings, poor credit, and when in the year I moved, and had to invest in a vehicle that cost more money than it was worth. In order to reduce the likelihood that these problems will arise again, I have taken note of each specific problem I have and am currently working on solutions to them. I liked my job as a server, it was a fun and easy job, and I plan on returning to it when I move again. This time, however, I will make sure to work a second job, with more of my time being freed up from being a fully online student. Saving a larger amount is very important; I plan on leaving with four times the amount of money I had before, and instead of renting an expensive hotel room for the week I will be renting a cheap campsite for a month. My credit is being worked on slowly but surely; it has already gone up over 100 points in the past few months and should be in excellent condition by the time May arrives. With more money, better credit, and work history on the island, I plan on renting a one bedroom apartment on my own terms, which will be nearby my places of employment, entertainment, and shopping, thus mostly eliminating the need for a car. I feel that if I remain diligent in solving the problems presented to me, I will have…
