Qcf Unit 2 Individual Assignment
I appreciate that my community is unapologetically diverse in terms of ethnicity but bonded by a shared passion. From my Japanese class at school, to my friends in costume design and anime, we share a common understanding of Japanese culture. Whether it’s friends from the maid cafe who taught me to feel comfortable trying new and foreign ideas, customs and dances to the cross-country team where I learned the value of individual effort toward a team goal, we all share the same trust and understanding that comes from open and like-minded

I live in very diverse community. People who surround me – my friends, co-workers, neighbours are different age, they’ve got different lifestyles, interests, beliefs, personal, social and cultural identities. For example: there are many different race and ethnic background people in my community. I live with Lithuanians, one of my neighbours is black, other ones white English. The English ones are pensioners and the black one is young mother, who spend a lot of time in her garden, looking after her plants. My housemates love sports, they go to the gym almost every day. The English couple most of their time spend at home, I often see their children…

According, to the Body Mass Index (BMI) this s an indicator that will help people determine a possible change for a longer life span than the average person, which mean they are most lightly to be overweight ,and not at all over weight, even a possibility to be obesity. The intervals come from each of the following numbers 17 to 22, 23 to 24,999, 25to 29.9 and 30. Now you can see 17 and 22 is in between. This is a compound inequality statement but rather than inclusive which mean that the 17< BMI is 30 can also be written as (30, +00). Although, I will calculate my BMI and explain the formula I used to back these number up with as my results. Many times other BMI can be very misleading, this reason I will prove. Now, I come to my final evaluation and the reasons why they “probably are not overweight” now to use the set and interval notations of numbers along with the simple graph chart of…

How comfortable would you be with a government having access to your personal information and data on your phone? A recent incident involving a terrorist attack in San Bernardino, sparked a controversy between Apple and the Federal Bureau of investigation. Following the attack by two individuals committed an act of terror, killing 14 people, the iPhone belonging to one of the terrorists was found. As you may know, your organization is requesting the court for Apple's forced assistance in weakening the encryption on an IPhone related to the San Bernardino terrorist attacks and supposedly has vital information on it. These terrorist attacks were performed by ISIS's lone wolves, named Syed Rizwan Farook, who owns the phone and Tashfeen Malik, his wife. In my opinion, the phone shouldn't be cracked for three reasons. First of all because it undermines America's founding principles and it…

The young boys and girls play in the park nearby. Some play football, others on the swings and others just run around. Most of the older people prefer to stay indoors most of the times. We have students, working class and housewives and retired neighbours. It is a mixed religion community majority being of Christian and Muslim faiths. My community is a united one where we meet once a month and discuss the problems affecting us and try resolving them. We also have a clean-up day once a month where we clean around our neighbourhood. I believe that, for people to get along, the students need to be aware of their own backgrounds as well as backgrounds of their peers. Reading, They’ve got to be carefully taught, by Susan Brady Konig, has changed my view. I agree with her claim that too much emphasis on cultural diversity may actually divide people of different ethnicities and cultures rather than bring them together.…

The United States is increasingly becoming a multiethnic, multicultural group of citizens. Life is no longer similar for all individuals. As people migrate they bring with them their cultural views, beliefs and language (Bhugra and Becker, 2005). In order to live together with respect, dignity and without prejudice for all, the country has had to educate itself on the beliefs and values of these vast cultures migrating to what they perceive as a land of opportunity whether this be for economic, education, or political reasons. For the most part in today’s world, cultural groups are intertwined in where they live, work, and attend school. To maintain a civil society, awareness and respect of the various groups needs to be addressed, beginning in the home, schools, and workplace. As discussed by Leininger and McFarland (as cited in Barker, 2009), culture is a way of life that is learned throughout the generations. Although one would hope that cultural education and acceptance begins at home, it is an ongoing process that all individuals should embrace to avoid prejudice and promote harmony in these diverse groups.…

Throughout my life I have been in and out of different communities, both online and face to face, but there is only one that I’ve ever stuck to. At the age of two, my parents brought me from Mexico to the States, starting my journey of living my life being Mexican-American. This community isn’t only for those who were born and raised here with Mexican parents, but also for those of us who were also born in Mexico, yet have lived here for most of their lives. Geography and identity aren’t the only things that the people in the community have in common, but also that we had to learn how to live with two different cultures. Although I do consider us a pretty strong community, it isn’t that strong because there’s no leader and not everyone knows…
