Ps I Love You Analysis
PS I LOVE YOU The movie I chose was P.S. I Love You. To begin with, I chose this movie because I have not seen it yet, but I have heard from my friends that it was a movie that I cannot miss out on. Reading the captions of the movies, it seemed very interesting and as soon as I was done with the movie, I gladly found it interesting. P.S. I love you had a unique plot compared to other love movies, after reading the synopsis I could automatically relate this movie with Chapter one on “Myth of the right one”. P.S. I Love You introduce its self with the daily lives of Holly Kennedy (the main character) and her husband Gerry Kennedy, a happily married couple going through their up and down stages of their marriage. Until Gerry dies of a brain Tumor, it takes Holly about a year to get over, but the movie narrates her life throughout the year. Holly and Gerry were married for 10 years and she got married at the age of 19, so we can say she married an age where she believed that Gerry was the right one and there would be no other like him. After the death of Gerry, Gerry understood that it would be hard for Holly to get over him so on his last few days before his death he writes several letters instructing her what to do as a last request.
Holly received her first letter shortly after Gerry’s funeral on her 30th birthday. Gerry along with Holly’s friends are determined to to make Holly move on from the widow stage and be herself. Throughout the letters (which he had arranged for after his death) Gerry ends them by saying P.S. I Love you. The letter are supposed to encouraged Holly to move on by going out more and spending more time with her friends (Denise and Sharon), but her friends are afraid that the letters are keeping Holly tied up. In one of the final letters, Gerry arranged Holly, Denise, and Sharon, to his home town in Ireland. Once in Ireland, the girls are having fun at a local pub Gerry had recommended them to. At the pub, Holly meets a singer who

"Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy." Matthew 5:7. Whether they give it or receive it, people will always need mercy. Love is a prerequisite of mercy. Forgiveness connects people in ways that might benefit all concerned because if people can forgive each other for their mistakes, they offer mercy to each other. Trust results from showing mercy. If people can trust one another, then they can show mercy in different aspects of other people's lives. Mrs. Luella in "Thank you Ma'am" and Sherlock Holmes in "The Blue Carbuncle" both give mercy to someone they did not even know because they overflow with love, forgiveness, and trust.…

She describes sects as “high tension bodies that don’t fit so well within the existing social environment.” Conley furthers her discussion about…

Annemarie Powell’s article “Get in the Game: Encouraging Play and Game Creation to Develop New Literacies in the Library” discusses the ways in which play allows children to develop fundamental skills such as new literacies, competencies, and deeper relationships and understandings of the subject material (Powell, 2013, p. 836). I'll Cover You in the first song I chose to write about, it is also the song I chose to represent homosexuality. While Collins never verbalizes that he is a gay man- he does fall in love with Angel. Granted we don't Angels "official" gender identity. I'll Cover You was my song of choice because even though they don't blatantly talk about being homosexual in this song it is a song about their relationship. Ultimately they are talking about wanting to be together and care for each other no matter what.…

As the camera pans back, Mr. Blonde stands up and turns, holding the officer’s bloody severed ear in his hands. This verse is a reflection of Mr. Blonde, and how he sees his lifestyle. He is very proud of his past transgressions, and is very much at one with the fact that he is a hardened criminal, who not only lives the lifestyle, but enjoys it. The lyrics: (And your friends, they all come crawlin, Slap you on the back and say), refers his friends Joe and ‘Nice Guy’ Eddie, who asked him for his involvement in the film’s robbery, and for whom he did a ‘stretch’ in jail rather than give them up to the authorities: as he was loyal to them in the past, they would return the favor with an “easy” score. While he taunts his victim , the officer moans in both pain and pleading, as he sits cut open and bleeding, seemingly hoping and praying for an end to the pain (Please.... Please.....).…

Little Shop of Horror, the movie that made me fall in love with musicals. Before watching this movie I thought of musicals as plays on film, with long drawn out singing segments you struggled not to nap during. In my eyes musicals weren’t even on the same level as regular movies with all of its high tech effects, fast paced plots and trendy soundtracks. The movie Little Shop of Horrors changed my narrow minded way of thinking into dare I say, a movie musical believer.…

There are a few movies to choose from that has actually touched me personally. The one movie that had more of an impact was “The Sandlot”. The Sandlot showed tough times as a kid in the 1960s. The movie can be related to almost every kid. Being peer pressured by the people I call my friends, losing balls over the neighbor’s backyard, and being face to face by a big dog. These aren’t just situations that I face myself, but for most people in their childhood. Now, we will see how this relates to the movie’s editing, sound, and lighting.…
