The School of Hotel, Restaurant and Institution Management was founded in 1996. Aiming to provide students with a strong foundation to achieve their future endeavors. Given this, one of the School’s basic requirements is for the SHRIM students to have a “Dress code” in order for the students to project a professional image. As early as the first week of classes, SHRIM students are already fond of using flats instead of heels, short straight-cut dress shirts, not wearing stockings, not wearing a suit, ties and the like. This problem is very evident in the Main building, where the OSB (office of Student Behavior) is not able to manage the SHRIM students’ dress code requirements. The Students will get used to these wrong practices and will eventually be at shock when they move to the AKIC(Angelo King International Center) building wherein Guards are really strict on the SHRIM’s dress code.
Objectives:
Our objective for this problem is it is a way of enabling SHRIM students to project a professional, business-like image, disciplining the students on how to wear the uniform correctly and especially that It is also a preparation for the SHRIM students when they transfer to AKIC building, so that they will get used to in wearing the uniform correctly.
Our appearance plays a great deal of importance. So if we don’t practice wearing our uniforms correctly we would be looked as like we don’t care about the way we look and dress. We should act professionally since we are in the School of Hotel nd Restaurant Management, we are looked onto because we are the only ones who are wearing uniforms, e.g: chef’s attire and the corporate attire.
