I am an independent voter, but even I can tell flip-flops and politicians do not go well together. As for presidential candidate Mitt Romney, one may need to second guess the correlation of the two. Extensive research of the two candidates running for presidency in the 2012 election led me to conclude Mitt Romney cannot be depended on to keep a definitive opinion, on how he plans to approach certain issues our nation faces. His character displays indecisiveness over and over again surrounding a few specific issues. The only thing he seems to be sure about is his political party status, a Republican, and his membership in the 1% club. Romney seems to be for or against any issue based on the majority opinion, so he can get the most votes. A few examples on the nation’s issues in which Romney has proven to “flip-flop,” are abortion rights, gun-control, and immigration laws.…

To inspire change is what most speakers strive for. A hope that maybe they’ll be remembered for doing something special is prevalent. I had three speeches to look at that in my mind achieved this goal. I ultimately chose Barack Obama. In the speech, “A More Perfect Union” the speaker Barack Obama argues uniting our country. In my opinion he uses support using personal anecdotes, reference to a well-known event, and appeals better than each of the other writers.…

I personally am a supporter of Barack Obama. My family is considered a middle class family and throughout my life, we have been democratic in terms of politics. I have four other siblings and all of us have or are attending college. We find education very important and with raising tuitions, this is one of my main concerns. Republicans would have tuition increased while Barack would frankly try to do the opposite and this is another reason he has my vote. I do not understand why, tuitions being as high as they are now would have to be increased. Especially when one of the primary focuses of our nation is to educate the people. Mitt Romney and other republicans blatantly ignore the fact that not everyone can afford higher education although we as a nation promote it should be something every American has. I can’t support or even begin to allow such groups who come off as selfish so often.…

Barrack Obama was born August 4th, 1961 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Before being inaugurated as president on January 20, 2009 he had a whole different life. He graduated high school at Punahou School in 1979. Following high school, Obama moved to Los Angeles in 1979 to attend Occidental College. Later in 1981, he transferred to Columbia University in New York City, where he majored in political science with a specialty in international relations and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1983. He worked for a year at the Business International Corporation, then at the New York Public Interest Research Group. In late 1988, he entered Harvard Law School. He was selected as an editor of the Harvard Law Review at the end of his first year, and president of the journal in his second year. In 1991, he accepted a two year position as Visiting Law and Government Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School to work on his first book. He then taught at the University Of Chicago Law School for twelve years as a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996, and as a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004 teaching constitutional law. Obama was elected to the Illinois Senate in 1996, succeeding State Senator Alice Palmer as Senator from Illinois's 13th District. Once elected, Obama gained bipartisan support for legislation reforming ethics and health care laws. He sponsored a law increasing tax credits for low-income workers, negotiated welfare reform, and promoted increased subsidies for childcare. Obama was reelected to the Illinois Senate in 1998, defeating Republican Yesse Yehudah in the general election, and was reelected again in 2002. In 2000, he lost a Democratic primary run for the U.S. House of Representatives to four term incumbent Bobby Rush by a margin of two to one. In January 2003, Obama became chairman of the Illinois Senate's Health and Human Services Committee when Democrats, after a decade in the minority, regained a majority. Obama resigned from the Illinois Senate in November 2004…

Obama’s healthcare reform will switch things up giving the American people choice and control over their health care, because healthcare reform instills competition into the market place. It will no longer be an industry wide monopoly of controlled pricing and coverage designated by strangers. Some of the changes that will come with Obama’s healthcare reform will include closing the gap for older children. This means a person who has been covered on his parents insurance can stay covered until he afford his own after graduation. Presently this drop…

The government of Pakistan has announced elections to be held on 11 May 2013.[2] In the general election, voting will take place in all parliamentary constituencies of Pakistan, to elect Members to seats in the National Assembly, the lower house of parliament and to the four Provincial Assemblies (Punjab Assembly,Sindh Assembly, Baluchistan Assembly and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly). Elections must be subsequently held within 60 days of parliament having been dissolved.[3] This will be the 11th general election for Pakistan since 1962, and potentially marks the first successful democratic transition between two elected governments. As of March, the Election Commission of Pakistan has put final touches to its preparations for the upcoming general elections. And one of those tasks was to procure over 500,000 ballot boxes and all relevant materials. The commission has also decided to employ the services of retired judges of the high court as permanent election tribunals in order to expedite the disposal of election-related cases. The commission will be appointing five tribunals in Punjab and three each in other provinces. Buildings are being hired for offices of these tribunals.…
