Planned Parenthood Case Study
The aim is to have the student care for women in her family and community in the sphere of Planned Parenthood and during the pre-conception period, establishing and implementing education and intervention health programs in order to promote healthy families, planned pregnancies, and positive experiences in sexuality and parenthood.
This Training Programme’s purpose is to provide clinical experiences which may allow students to use the most adequate knowledge and technical know-how to practice specialized nursing care in the woman/pregnant woman/family during the reproductive cycle using a scientific work methodology.

The Training Programme’s purpose is to
Foster an active participation on the students’ part, with the chance to make a Training Programme project which will structure the planning of the practice that is to be developed in this context of healthcare in renowned healthcare facilities.
This will be a collaborative effort with specialist nurses who will guide the students in a tutorial system. There is coherence between the methodologies and CU’s objectives seen as the methodologies are directed to the objectives of the psychomotor scope, which emphasize the manipulation, articulation and non-verbal communication without disregard for the cognitive scope, as these target the development of the knowledge and understanding necessary to plan, execute and evaluate nursing care.

The student's guidance and monitoring will be carried out in close collaboration between the teacher and the Training Programme's nurses in tutorial system.
Evaluation
Assessment is carried out by using the continuous evaluation method. The instrument for evaluation was built based on the skills defined by the Nurses Association. It’s organized into two major scopes: Common Skills and Specific Skills, which both have competence unit descriptions and which the student must develop and showcase throughout the year and at the end of his clinical training. Approval presupposes a mark = or > 9.5 points.
