On the website sleepfoundation.org they did a research which stated, "The delay in release time for students also means that students with after-school jobs may be affected. This issue is important for certain students and their families who rely on the extra income to get by. Therefore, the change may disproportionately affect low income families." For low income families they might not be able to pay the bills if their child doesn't work with school, work, and homework it is hard to be able to get the recommended amount of sleep and do everything else that busy high school students have to face. In an article on the website parentingteens.about.com it states "Delaying the start time of high schools within a district could pose problems with bus schedules, after school activities, and sporting events.
