Persuasive Essay On Climate Change
"Climate change is real. It is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating "
Best Actor Oscar Winner Leonardo DiCaprio.
The Global Warming is an increase of the average temperature of the terrestrial surface, considered as a symptom and a consequence of the climate change. The global warming of the Earth is already a fact that produced, and it will produce, serious consequences in the climate, the atmosphere and the biodiversity: increase of the average temperature of the Earth, decrease of the caps of ice at the Poles, increase of the level of the sea, increase of the desertification, disappearance of flora and fauna in ecosystems, shortage

We may not change the world in just one step, but we can make a huge difference beginning with solutions that are the key to solve the global warming. Therefore, in order to stop the global warming, I propose that the US …show more content…
For example, if a person shares their car with friends, colleagues, neighbors, and family when driving in similar directions on a regular basis or if a person decide to use a public transportation, they will save 30 grams of CO2 per every 4, 5 kilometers that they do not lead. For every liter of fuel that burns the engine of a car, there is liberated an average of 2, 5 kilos of CO2, according to the European Commission. Important to realize,72% of the total emitted greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide (CO2), which has been dramatically increased within the last 50 years and is still increasing by almost 3% each year. Given these points, the fastest and most efficient solution to reduce this irreparable damage to our planet, it is with the help of the population in general; in consequence, advertising campaigns are an angular piece on the challenge of creating conscience and reporting to the global citizenship about the fight against the global warming. Therefore, it is essential that the US government invest some money and develop an effective advertising campaign to reduce the impact of global

Al Gore’s presentation on global warming has opened minds across the globe. He has set a level of awareness and elevated thinking through any reasonable person’s logic concerning the well being of the planet. The theory has developed into facts, and consumers are making a conscious effort at the cash register by purchasing more “Earth- friendly” merchandise. Rather than conflict with the environment, consumer decisions and responsibilities play a major role in the prosperity and future of our planet.…

The U.S. is a major contributor to global warming because it produces 25% of the world’s carbon dioxide. Proposed laws to reduce carbon emissions in the U.S. are urgently needed and should be enacted immediately to save the planet." I agree that we need to reduce carbon emission standard. I have discovered that the cause of polar bear drowning is due to global warming. I am glad that congress has passed the clean air act in 1970's.What worries me is how much amount of hydrocarbon is poluting the air today? One of the most controversial topics in the U.S today is whether climate change is manmade or naturally changing. This scientific subject has turned into a political game and is now flooding the mainstream media with lies about this idea. Climate change is real, you see it happening from season to season, but it’s not because of us, the Earth is just naturally changing. It has been for thousands of years. There is no evidence it’s man made and lies are serving through the people. Climate change isn't our fault, the Earth isn’t doomed anytime soon. The Earth is just doing it’s normal thing.…

In the thin shell of the atmosphere surrounding our planet we have dumped seventy million tons of global warming pollution into the earth. That number grows more and more every day. The pollution we put in to the air is attracting more heat from the sun, causing glaciers to melt. The melting glaciers have already affected major cities in North and South America, Asia, and Austria, having massive droughts and almost out of water. Other countries are planning evacuations due to massive floods. Breakout wildfires forced a half million people out their homes. The extreme increase in temperature has caused tens of thousands of people to lose their lives. Warnings of global warming have been stated for over fifty years, but have yet to take action. One of the first Nobel Prize winners worried about the evaporating coal mines in the air. Calculations of…

Global Warming is an issue that the World has been dealing with for many decades. I really did not understand about Global Warming until I enrolled in a Meteorology class at American Public University, and it was then that I was introduced to the issue of Global Warming, and the damage that is happening to our World. Global Warming refers to the gradual warming of global average temperatures due to the slow increase concentrations of greenhouses gases, primarily carbon dioxide. Burning of fossil fuels traps the heat in the atmosphere making the earth warmer. The signs of climate change are everywhere. Temperatures are warmer, snow melts earlier, and birds do not fly as far south for the winter as they once did. Giant ice sheets are melting and oceans are rising. If our planet continues to warm, because of greenhouse effects there can be more storms, flooding, droughts, heat waves, and it will begin to effect the eco system and some of our plants and animals face the danger of extinction.…

In order to minimize the consequences of global warming, we must introduce highly efficient vehicles, create an abundance of renewable resources, and form the laws needed to slow global warming. Each of these solutions will provide a dramatic impact in reducing the carbon emissions, but it will take more than just the effort of these solutions, we must apply them to keep the earth as healthy as possible.…

According to a new U.N.(United Nations)report, the global warming outlook is much worse than originally predicted. Which is pretty bad when they originally predicted it would destroy the planet. If you want to stop global warming open your ears. First of all people should use less energy. We can switch off the electronic devices or lights whenever we don’t need it. By the way change your regular light bulbs with a compact fluorescent light bulb. Did you know that it can save 150 pounds of carbon dioxide a year? People! Take advantage of the sunshine and use solar panels. People should drive less. They should avoid using transportations that uses fossil fuels .Did you know that burning fossil fuels increases the level of green house gases in the atmosphere? Ride a bike, carpool or mass transit more often instead. If you are using a car then accelerate slowly and smoothly, there will be less carbon footprint by doing that, trust me. Plant trees. I love trees. Trees absorb carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, from the air and releases oxygen. Recycle more. When recycling you send less trash to the landfill and you help save natural resources like green energy. And PEOPLE, use less water! Don’t just let the water go while you’re checking yourself in the mirror. Take showers instead of long baths. Think about the poor people in Africa. They need water. Maybe they don’t…

Substantial scientific evidence indicates that an increase in the global average temperature of more than 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit (°F) (or 2 degrees Celsius [°C]) above pre-industrial levels poses severe risks to natural systems and to human health and well-being. The good news is that, because we as humans caused global warming, we can also do something about it. To avoid this level of warming, large emitters such as the United States need to greatly reduce heat-trapping gas emissions by mid century. Delay in taking such action means the prospect of much steeper cuts later if there is any hope of staying below the 3.6°F (2°C) temperature goal. Delayed action is also likely to make it more difficult and costly to not only make these reductions, but also address the climate consequences that occur…

Global warming is no longer a myth and as consumers of resources, the world has to change and conserve their energy usage. There are many things one can do, but informing others how to take these dire steps our world needs in order to survive and support humankind. With CO2 making up over 70 percent of our atmosphere, we need to focus not only on how to slow down its growth, but removal of it s existence from the atmosphere to the right level of equilibrium for cleaner healthier air. Many Americans have adopted a method of saving energy and consuming less resources, but this is not enough; we need to configure how to collect and store some of the excess energy and change it to a useable renewable energy source. The media needs to stop believing that there is a pause in the climbing ambient temperature because it causing a chain reaction with livestock that also has a domino effect on the world 's food supply.…
