Personal Narrative-The Equinox And A Mountaineer
A few years ago I found myself in the market for a new vehicle when the one I had drowned. I had two children living at home and one on the way. I knew I would need a larger vehicle to accommodate a family of what would be five. I went to the auto dealer and narrowed it down to two vehicle. An Equinox and a Mountaineer. Then I made a pros and cons list. This was a very stressful time. It was a considerably large purchase that I wanted to make sure was going to be everything I needed at the time. The Equinox was large enough for all five of us at the time; however it was not big enough to keep the girls from picking on each other. Nor was it large enough to haul anything. The price was right and I liked the way it looked. Great on gas and easy to drive. …show more content…
This was a larger vehicle with a third row for separating the kids. It seats seven comfortably. Leather seats with a sliding sunroof and heated seats, it checked all the right boxes. That great feeling turned to anxiety when I started listing the cons. Terrible on gas, huge tires that could get expensive to replace. A bigger vehicle means more to clean up after the kids. The trail continued around the east side of the lake entering a gathering of trees forming an insignificant forest along the lake’s shoreline. From our viewpoint, the trees concealing the trail eventually dispersed on the southeast side of the lake, and the trail blended into the landscape. Using our imagination, we envisioned the route against the rugged terrain sloping into the lake. No point in taking a vote now, we had trekked to the lake and the consensus was to proceed with a lap around the lake.…

Quite a few car manufacturers have created models similar to this mid-sized truck but still the Chevrolet Colorado LTZ with Z71 suspension and four-wheel drive is the biggest bang for your buck when it comes to smaller trucks. Some say the cab and/or the truck bed is too small, others will tell you that the 3.7 liter engine is just plain silly when it comes to torque and horsepower. Then again, there are people out there that will tell you that all of those things can be put to great use and that just because the truck is small does not mean it is at all worthless.…

I felt the stock of my bow while I was sitting in the blind. Frost had already began to form where I rubbed it off seconds ago. I looked through the small window at the everlasting snow. “Wait, was that a deer moving along those trees?” I asked myself. It looked more like a kangaroo making its way through the snow. I could barely stand up in the cold. I pulled back, ready to take the shot.…

There has been many cases in which I have helped an outsider feel welcome. One time in particular is when I played tag with this little boy at church since he was new and no one else played with him. Originally, I was outside eating candy and talking to my friends at church. I noticed that this little boy was standing all alone watching all the other little kids play without him. I thought that maybe he was upset so I went over to him and asked if he wanted the rest of my gummy worms. He seemed nervous at first, but eventually he started talking to me. I learned that he was five years old and he was visiting his grandparents for the weekend. His older brother was outside playing basketball with some of the other older boys at the church, and…
