Personal Narrative-It's Time To Win The Big Game
“Three minutes left!,” my coach yelled in a panic. It was the big game, we have been here all day fighting and dominating through our sweat and exhaustion for our chance at the championship game. The joy and excitement that took over my body from hearing that we made it to the championship game made me shiver. My team and I gave everything we had on the field to get here but now it was time to test our limits and fight for the championship title.
The game was like a ping pong match, no one could keep possession of the ball long enough to get anywhere near the goal. Eventually, the opposing team was the first to get the ball in the back of the net but that didn’t discourage us, in fact it amped us up which is what we needed. We then made an amazing passing sequence and made it into their eighteen. The ball was at my feet but it wasn't clear for

The opposing team started the half with the ball but we quickly got possession. We were not playing around. The rules to over time is that whoever scores first wins the game. As we were moving up the field with the ball I could feel it coming, I knew that this was going to be an opportunity to score. My teammate worked the ball up the field into the corner and was looking for someone to cross the ball to. I wanted the game winning goal so badly. This would be something that I could brag about for the rest of my life. She takes the kick to cross the ball and it’s coming right towards me. I lunge into my kick giving it everything I had left in me. The sweat and overworked feeling would all be worth it in this moment, but it wasn’t. I kicked it right to the goalie. Out of complete shock from my ultimate fail everyone on my team froze and the other team was able to get possession and take the ball to the other end of the field. Unlike me their forward was able to score. That should have been

“LET’S GO BOYS!!!! LET’S WIN THIS!!! BEAT THESE RAVENS!!!!!!” The crowd was screaming and chanting wildly as we began to run out of the locker rooms and onto the large football field. I lead them, raising my arms up and down to signal the crowd to get louder with their cheers. As I did this, I was also sprinting to the middle of the field through the large slit that was cut for my eyes. I turned back to the crowd in the stands, and the players ran around me, with smiles of their faces, to get to their positions and the bench. I started to jump and raise my arms, “ FROGGY!!! FROGGY!!! FROGGY!!!” They all chanted my name in union, some of them even had signs and horns! A large smile crept onto my face behind my large mascot mask, and I couldn’t…

I look across the field at the other team warming up. I can’t help but notice how fluid and controlled their movements are. Halfway into the game my team’s spirit is deflated. We are playing worse than we really are. We thought we would be okay but the team is playing defeated. We are down five to zero; the possibility of scoring is a thing of the past considering our attackers haven’t seen the goal all game. Coach paces the locker room speaking his face reddening as he tries to raise the burning sensation to win within the team. The eyes of my teammates light up with a spark, with hope that sparks will ignite into a flaming inferno.…

I chose this topic because I really like football. I also really enjoy fantasy football. I wanted to know how to always win in fantasy football. I wanted to know the best way to draft. I think the best way to draft was to draft wide receivers. That is a pretty good strategy for drafting, but I found one that could be better. I already know that drafting wide receivers helps because when I’ve drafted good wide receivers I've made the playoffs twice with one championship in three seasons. The one season I didn't make the playoffs I won the consolation playoffs. One thing I wanted to learn was I wanted to know more about team’s offensive lines. The only offensive line I know is really good…

My father, Coach Blake, told me to start the game off the right way and I did. The first pitch I hit deep in the outfield and got a triple. The team follow in them steps. The score of the game was our 8 to there 4. Then the team got cocky. That was a really bad idea through. We started to play horrible. We wasn’t getting on base nor playing good defense. The other team took over. Now the game was tied 8-8 and the game was coming to an end. It was our time to bat and we fail to score. It went three up three down. All we need was at least one person to hit and I would’ve hit again. All both Coach wanted was to get Torin and Me to hit. It fail to happen and now it was the other team turn to hit. The bases was load and they had two outs. One more out and we got another chance. Coach moved me from to catcher to pitcher and the pitcher to catcher. I throw the ball and the batter hit it down the third base line and they score. The game was over. We lose 9-8.…

They ran out onto the field, similar in size and strength of men in their twenties, and began a simple, but loud chant of “Red Dogs” accompanied by the crowd. Beginning to have some doubt, we sent our captains out to the middle of the field for the coin toss. Even though our captains were some of the tallest biggest people on our team, they were miniature compared to the size of their four captains who towered over our captains as an adult towers over a child. This moment is when we were certain the game was a lost cause and first place was out of reach. Doubt and defeat could already be seen in the coach’s eyes; nevertheless, we lined up for the first play. Alex said “hut”, and we ran it straight up the middle—touchdown. We stood there in aw not believing what just happened and thought surely it was a fluke. Our defense stopped them, and we scored again. The final score was 35-7, and the Falcons won it. After shaking the hand of the sad giants, we received the trophy and first place ribbons; and our doubts and disbeliefs were nowhere in sight.…

It’s game day, and the first time in twenty-three years that we might be able to defeat out school rivals, Turpin. But something didn’t feel like it should, after all it was the biggest day our team’s season. We had immense confidence in ourselves, being the higher raked state team, we expected to win this game then make a large tournament run. Little did we know that the rest of our season relied heavily on this game. Winning or losing this game would not end our season physically, but would emotionally ruin us, ultimately ending our season. The game began with a pleasant, almost soothing blow of the whistle and ended with the blood-curtailing screech of the referee’s dagger, sending shivers down my spin. The roar of our crowd stopped and…

We were desolate in despair of what to do next.Scoring 2 more goals in such a short time seemed to be the next great challenge for us.But injection of new spirit via substitution by Sir Alex opened a new highway for us in the quest for immortality or I could simply say the champions League title. It was me who scored one of the equalizers by an eye catching free kick from 30 yard mark at the late 70’s.I was then followed by Christiano Ronaldo with his twists and turns which could bluff even the greatest defender of the world. But the most heart-rending scene came for the mighty Barcelona when I scored the winning goal at the 93rd minute by an unforgivable volley from Ronaldo.Eventually,we ended the game by winning the game by 3 goals to 2.It was the happiest moment of my life watching fans taking standing ovations for me as I was announced “The Man of the Match”.I also took bow in reply to them.later,I shared my jersey with Lionel Messi after he appreciated my performance by saying;…

It’s an incredibly scorching afternoon on the soccer fields. The parched grass begs for even the most miniscule drop of water. Sweat streams down my face as my cleats claw their way forward at top speed. My lungs spasm with gasps, desperate to get enough oxygen. A soccer ball soars gracefully through the air and lands perfectly at my tired feet. It takes me a millisecond to realize what has happened but I quickly snap to attention as a teammate yells out. My legs move instinctively towards their destination—the net. A player dives in front of me but I effortlessly sidestep her and continue on my determined way. The net moves closer and closer at a seemingly astonishing rate. I take a few more steps and set my body into the perfect position to score. I wind up and smack the ball, content that I have done everything flawlessly thus far. My ears prepare to hear the cheers of teammates congratulating me for a job well done, however, that moment never came. The…
