Personal Narrative: A Career As A Travel Nurse

Since I was a little girl, I wanted to be a singing baby doctor. This is what I would always tell everyone when they asked me what I wanted to be. When I was about twelve I thought that being a nurse in the emergency room would be a fun job, so then I thought that was what I wanted to be. Little did I know neither of those are what I am finally choosing to do with my life. One day when I was out getting my blood drawn at a blood drive, Melinda Riner, the nurse that drew my blood was not from here. So I asked her where she was from. Melinda said “Britain”, I thought “oh my she is far away from home. Wonder why she is all the way over here?” I winded up asking her just what I thought. Melinda then told me that she was a travel nurse. I said “what exactly does a travel nurse do?” Melinda told me that she travels around and helps people.
