When reflecting on personal influences in my life, no one has had a greater impact than my father. He was and continues to be a positive role model as a father, a husband, a grandfather, a devout Christian, a carpenter and an artist.…
I have had multiple influential people in my life, but I'm not going to say my parents or a great teacher, but rather someone closer to my age. Andrew Calton, a good friend and great influence. Andrew helped me “get back on my feet” when I was scared to kayak. I would stay on the lake and not go on rivers because I had no confidence in myself. Late at night he and Jack White, another good friend, came to my cabin at camp and told me there was a spot on a trip and he wanted me to go. I went on the trip and the fact that they wanted me to go boosted my confidence. We went on harder rivers I had never been on and I did not swim, or bail out of by boat once.…
My parents have impacted my growth with education, they always push me out of my comfort zone and encourage me to try new things. Another way they have impacted my growth is taking me on trips and experiencing new cultures. My parents have given me the skills to have a great self confidence. There’s not one particular person that I can pick who I have learned from the most I have learned lots from my entire family. Every member in my family has taught and supported me in some way during my life. Some examples of what I have learned from them is that education is very important to be able to succeed and accomplish my goals. Another thing that they have taught me is how to work through challenges in life and to never give up on anything that I believe in. With great role models like this they help me keep a positive attitude and learn lots in…

Whether you’re young or old, it is almost guaranteed that at least one person has made an impact on your life. Whether the impact was big or small, long term, or short term, someone has influenced your life in one way or another. However, impacts are not only made by people, but by events that have occurred in your life. Throughout one’s life multiple people and events will shape who you were, are, and will become.…
When someone asks you the question, “who has impacted your life?” I’m sure we all can list many amazing people. When people ask me that question one specific person comes to mind, my grandpa, Gordon Westendorf. He saw potential in me at a very young age. He would read to me for hours and hours to allow me to learn as much as i could. He never turned away from a teaching opportunity and always was willing to take time out of his busy day to talk to me or to help me with anything I need.…
A person who has had a significant influence on me in my life would have to be my former foster mother, Miss Barbara Pratt. Ms. Pratt was a foster mother to many children before myself and she had had wonderful success with most of them. I had been in an extremely abusive relatives home before I had been placed in Ms. Pratt’s home. When it was discovered that I was in an abusive home I was first placed in a group home in Cincinnati. Social Services worked very hard to find me a home that would help me adjust to a ‘normal’ life as quickly and easily as possible. They found the home my older sister had been placed in, they contacted Ms. Pratt and I was placed in her care.…

Over the past years of my life there has always been an important person who has impacted me in many different ways. Through his hard work, determination, and love for family, he has set an example for me to follow and has shaped me into the person I am today. Besides setting an example for me he has become such an important person; due to the support he has given me in the hardest moments of my life, and because of all the sacrifices he has made to provide an education for me. That person is still living today and I am proud to call him, father.…
To say that only one person inspired me in my life would be the understatement of the decade. Many people go through life with only one inspirational person that they always look up to. I have had the privilege of having twenty-nine people inspire me all at once in a way that no one else could. In the 2008-2009 school year, I was informed by a friend of an audition for the first production of Rent at the Orlando Youth Theater. Right away I jumped to this opportunity to be in this world renowned musical. To be in a musical like this, which represents the struggles friends go through in a “measure of a year”, was a blessing in itself. Going into it, I thought, “Here I am, auditioning for one of the most impactful shows of my time, and to be performing this with all these people who share the same love as I do is going to be a great experience.” What I did not know was that the people I would meet would change who I was completely.…
There have been many people who have influenced me in my life. The people who stand out the most are my Mom, Dad, Brothers, and friends. They have influenced me since I have been a child till where I am now. They are a big reason why I am the person I am today.…
When reflecting on personal influences in my life, no one has had a greater impact than my father. He is and always continues to be a positive role model as a father. He always stands by my side, and whenever I fall down, he encourages me to stand up by myself and on my own feet. My dad has a huge impact on the way I become a person today. He has influenced my life by teaching me the lessons and showing me the right behaviors and wrong behaviors…
Sometimes we come across a person who changes our whole perspective of life for better. Last summer I met Uncle Joe. My parents sent me to my uncle on holidays. I was supposed to spend my whole summer holidays with him and his family. That was the first time we have been introduced to each other. At first, I thought that it was going to be my worst holiday ever. I felt embarrassed of living with people I hardly knew and wanted to return home but days passed and I got to know my uncle better.…
Ms Edwina, my co-worker, who is an accounting clerk at San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center, is the most influential person in my life because she has always supported me and given me hope. In fact, accepted to work as a payroll clerk with no accounting background and with my terrible English, I felt very stressful in learning a lot of new things at the same time, and I had no confidence in communicating with other people. Things did not improve, and I totally fell apart and wanted to give up after five months of working there. Fortunately, that was when…
