Period 2
There are many different ways to reflect on the word peace. I always thought of peace as a state of which our world got along, one country with another. I also thought of peace as a state of calmness between people where fighting or disagreement does not exist. I feel that today our country tries to solve issues and problems in a peaceful manner. However, the world will never be at peace since there are so many different opinions between world leaders. Another way of looking at what peace means is an internal peace within oneself. Peace could mean being happy and satisfied with oneself or one’s life. At this point in my life I have inner peace because I am happy with who I am. I feel that I am my own person and I do not follow the crowd. I am at peace with my own decisions in my life. Moreover, I completed my college application process a few weeks ago and am already accepted into the Physician Assistant Program at Daemen College. I have found inner peace knowing that I have a college to attend next year, who has one of the best Physician Assistant Programs. I have worked so hard to send out my applications, letters of recommendation, and essays to eight colleges that it gives me peace knowing I have reached my goal. In addition, I feel that I have peace regarding my relationships with my family and friends. I am blessed to have such a great family and group of friends that I do not bicker with. I find myself usually at peace with the people who are closest to me. I feel that depending on life’s challenges and struggles, it is truly hard to achieve peace at all times. Life’s ups and downs gives us times of inner peace and times of hardships that we have to overcome. We just have to be happy with the times that we do feel peace in our life because it may be
