COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course examines the structure, functions, processes, and administration of the executive branch agencies of federal, state, and local governments, non-governmental agencies (NGOs), and the nonprofit sector. It examines the theoretical framework and historical development of the field of public administration to include the constitution, social and political environments, and the context of its formation. The course surveys the practice of public budgeting and financial management, public leadership and ethics, policy-making, analysis and evaluation, and public personnel administration.
