Our America Movie Analysis
There are many differences and similarities in the book and movie Our America. The book and the movie Our America is a story about two best friends, both teenagers named LeAlan and Lloyd. They went throughout their neighborhood recording everything that happens in their daily life and what happens in their neighborhood on a daily basis. The reason it is called Our America is because they want to show the readers “their America” in the ghetto. I think that the book and the movie version of Our America have more differences than similarities.

I believe that the book and the movie version of Our America have more differences than similarities because there were a lot of things that were different. For example, in the book the story of how 5 year old Eric Morse got dropped out of the 14th floor window was different from the story in the movie. In the movie it

In the book and the movie, LeAlan and Lloyd both described the building Eric got dropped out of the same. Both said that the elevator was out of order. They both said that the apartment stinks and it was really disgusting and dirty. LeAlan said that you can walk right through and no one would come and stop you and no one was there to greet you. You could just walk right through and nobody would say anything to you about it. I think the director decided to keep the apartment looking nasty because the director probably wanted the viewer to see how disgusting and how nasty the place was and how much people don’t care about their environment.

In conclusion, there are more differences than similarities. One of the major differences in the movie was the story of how Eric Morse got dropped out of the 14th floor of an apartment building. Another major difference in the movie was how much David Issay appeared in the movie more so than the book. David Issay appeared more in the movie than the book. I believe that there were more differences than

Usually when talking about a movie or a book, it hard to discuss the similarities and the differences. Because sometimes a movie can be more influencing than a book and vice versa. When I first started reading the book The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, I was confused at first but then as I kept reading, I realized how things can go a certain way and how one person can make a change in the whole world without even meaning to. Personally, what I…

The first major similarity is the series of events that led up to the ordeal. In the book, it starts off with a meeting of the President and most of the cabinet. It is almost the same in the movie. However, the movie starts off with the U-2 plane actually taking the pictures, which is not in the book. After the U-2 flight, the movie then joined the book, where the President and the cabinet met together for the briefing. After the meeting, everyone realized that the Soviet Union was lying about the whole situation. They were in fact transporting nuclear missiles to Cuba when they promised that they were not. Another similarity that ties into the events that led to the ordeal was the meeting between John F. Kennedy and Andrei Gromyko. They talked about the same subject, the Soviets helping the Cubans. Then, President Kennedy read out a statement that pointed out several serious consequences that would arise if the Soviet Union placed missiles in Cuba. Then, Gromyko lied right to his face, and assured him that the Soviet Union would never give missiles to Cuba.…

LeAlan And Lloyd are best friends and reporters but they start to split since LeAlan graduated and Lloyd failed 12th grade and didn’t go to graduation with LeAlan. Also the book didn’t write about the principle thinking that LeAlan and Lloyd was saying all these bad things about the hood that was not true. The reason why I think that there are so many differences in the book and movie is because LeAlan grandmother was singing her favorite song in the movie and the book never said that she was singing her favorite song. I like the movie better because it shows more things that never happened in the book. I like the book a little bit because it shows more things that never happened in the movie. The book and movie versions of Our America have many differences such as the movie shows and tells that Duane got shot and the book never said that Duane got shot.…

The most important similarity between the book and the movie is the constant battle between McMurphy and Nurse Ratched. They are constantly trying to gain an edge over each other to have control over the patients. This happens in both the book and the movie. McMurphy ends up becoming the biggest influence until he is killed at the end. Nurse Ratched ends up winning the battle by outlasting McMurphy, but also loses because McMurphys’ influence has changed the attitudes of the patients forever.…

The story and the movie compare to each other so well due to several different reasons. First off, both of these are based off of true stories which is really upsetting if you think about it because people during both times were getting falsely accused of crimes. That means that innocent people were getting punished because of someone else’s false accusations. Another thing that is similar about them is when…

There are many similarities between the movie and the novel versions of T.K.A.M., dealing with characters, plot, setting, and theme. One similarity is the mystery behind Boo Radley. In both versions, Boo was considered a crazy guy who lived in a scary house. He was also exposed in both versions as a Good Samaritan when. First, he put a blanket around Scout when Miss Maudie’s house burned down, and second, when he saved Scout and Jem from Bob Ewell. Another similarity is the stories of the witnesses during Tom Robinson’s trial. In both versions, the Ewells maintained that Tom had beaten and raped Mayella, while Tom said that Mayella tried to take advantage of him. Another similarity is Tom’s crippled left hand. In the book and the film, he got it cut off in a cotton gin when he was thirteen. Another similarity is that the story takes place in Maycomb, Alabama. One theme that was consistent throughout the book and film versions was family is what keeps us together. To conclude, there are many similarities between the movie and the book versions of To Kill a Mockingbird.…

The book and the movie are the same in many areas, yet differ in many others. Overall, they have the same characters, themes and settings throughout the book and movie. They differ in the scenes and in certain parts of the dialog however. An example of one such difference is when Bob Ewell talks to Atticus after Tom Robinson’s first court date. The book never included this scene. There are also small details that were not taken to note in the movie. For instance, the night the three children went to the jail to find Atticus, Dill had spent the night with Jem and Scout, even though in the book Scout and Jem went to pick him up at his house. Another example is when they are at the jail- Atticus is…
