Octavia's Cruelty: A Fictional Narrative
Octavia started to walk towards them. “If I am finished here, I will be,” she said. Her tone was polite as she looked at David. Her silver eyes went to Juliet. “Would you like to leave now?” “What about Operation Lilly,” David questioned her, ignoring her question to Juliet. “You don’t expect your novice hackers to crack this case, do you?”
Octavia smiled a knowing smile towards Juliet before turning towards the large screen wall. It displayed various bits of information that Juliet couldn’t quite deceiver without further knowledge. Pictures of various men and locations were flashing across the many screens. Juliet closed her eyes and slipped into Octavia’s mind. She imagined herself in an empty room like she had before

A smirk played on her light pink lips. Octavia was not the girl she once was, and Juliet liked it. “Are you ready to leave, Juliet?” Juliet gave her a quick nod. Octavia smiled at David in a formal, business-like manner. “I will see you in the morning,” she said before taking Juliet’s hand. Octavia led Juliet through the control room as if she was the one in charge. Juliet had to stifle back a smile as Andrew held the door abut for the venturing pair Octavia rented a two-bedroom apartment in the city of Paterson. Octavia kept her apartment organized. The light grey walls of the living room had accents of light pinks, blues, and silvers. The sofa and love seat were an elegant silver topped with pale pink throw pillows. The large television on the wall faced the grey couch. Surrounding the TV was various, simple paintings in dark frames. A glass coffee table was in front of the sofa. She couldn’t think of the graceful woman before her feeling like she was describing. Then again, she couldn’t picture a lot of things six years ago. “They gave me a fork with my meals,” She started again. Her voice was emotionless and her eyes stared out at nothing. “I had to get out. I had to. The guard on duty came in the cell to gather my tray. I had left it on the bed beside me. He was just older than me, I almost felt guilty for what I was about to do. He grasped my chin in hand and made me look at him. He told me I was a pretty little thing even if I was a filthy mess. He wanted a kiss. He went down close enough to me and I jammed the fork deep in his neck, cutting through a majority artery. Then I

Juliet, that your grace, and voice, and passion, and beauty will be shrouded from the world pains me. I humbly believe you were my own daughter, not to replace Susan, whom you now rest with, but to be mine alongside her. I remember well that you were the prettiest I ever nursed, one who, through the thirteen years you walked on earth, brought me laughter and strife, joy and woe. Yet lie knowing well that you had more merriment to deal than misery, and that even as we gather to speak, we are all aware that you would not have been happy to live without fair Romeo by your side. All I ever wished was for you to be content, so much so that I transgressed my lord and lady’s trust, which, while a dreadful mistake, I do not wholly regret.…

"You come see me after you've done your set tonight, okay? I... want to discuss how you've been doing here so far." Hannah forced her smile to remain and nodded though he wasn't interested in waiting for a response and had already turned his back to her. Once out of earshot she breathed a sigh of relief, glanced over her appearance and undid a couple of extra buttons on the skimpy blouse she had on over the blue and black plaid mini skirt and ridiculously high stilettos which, along with her thong and stockings would be the only thing she'd have left on by the end of her routine.…

This is a third POV story, set when Juliet was sent away from England to the Bahamas "for the good of her health". As Juliet was disconnected due to her separation from her family, I used few emotions coming from her, herself. I used her obsession with the "king and queen" book as a subtle reference to Borovnia. I made the child, Richard, five years old because Juliet has a personality younger than her age, and she ends up copying Richard. With this piece I was portraying the origins of Juliet's melodramatic personality. Juliet thinking she had scars was a good thing was also started here by Mary's "pushover" personality.…

Feeling the water running down over them as she kissed him, her heart ached for him to be with him again and not just as the fake Mrs. Smith. Smiling she pulled away from him her breathing grew a little heavy as she let the words come from her mouth. “I am going to Harvard, but I’m not going without you. I tried to tell you that at the docks, but apparently it went way over your head. If you don’t come with me in September, I am not going. I will not leave you behind again.” she smiled as she kissed his lips once more. She was in that place where she wanted nothing, but him. She wanted to be close to him again like on the boat, but in a different way at the same time. “Please, just consider coming with me? I know, it’s not Chatham and you won’t be on a boat all the time and I’ll be busy some days, but I really want you to come with me.” she smiled as she kissed…
