1) know the statutory responsibilities and rights of employees and employers within own area of work
1.1 )list the aspects of employment covered by law
The things that are covered by law is
Anti discrimination provision (race gender disabilities religion age) ,sickness and absence, sick pay, working hours and holiday entitlement, data protection, health and safety ,moving and handling ,criminal record bureau (crb)
1.2) list the main features of current employment legislation
Employment rights
Sex discrimination act and equal pay act .
1.3) outline why legislation relating to employment exists
This is to protect both employer and employee and safety of the public from any breech in any agreement and injuries in the workplace
1.4) identify sources and types of information and advice available in relation to employment responsibilities and rights
Citizens advice bureau acas HR department line manger manager community legal advice access to work trade unions
2) understanding agreed ways of working that protect own relationship with employer
2.1) describe the terms and conditions of own contract of employment
Title of job ,position to be held ,status of contract the way you get payed and how often, hours holiday pay and entitlement sickness and absence pension general. Training and supervision, equality and diversity, grievance misconduct data protection, health and safety. No smoking and rights to maternity and paternity leave and termination of the contract these are all included in my contract.
My contract state I work for new concept care and nursing and I started working for them on 3rd of July 2014 as a domiciliary care worker , with a zero hours contract which offers me work within my available hours doing alternate weekend or agreed with management there is a 3 month probationary period. I get paid every four weeks into
