Norwich University
Norwich University is the oldest private military college in the United regulation that and located in Northfield, VT. The captain Alden Partridge was a founder of Norwich University, founded in 1819 in Norwich, Vermont. In the United State, Norwich University has counted one of six senior military colleges and the birthplace of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. Norwich University is a unique institution where students, faculties, and staffs, administrators worked together to keep strong personal and professional goals to help the future leaders of this nation. Also still graduated students from this college provides their service to this nation into both the military and private sectors. At the old core, freshmen were not recognized until the spring semester. The freshman recognition will be surprise anywhere at chow or at a parade or formation. To deserved class privilege, the freshman year has to keep standard where the freshman year has to pass 97 percent of the Norwich PT and the Rook Knowledge tests. There were not Rook book that has been written where and what kinds of prevailed will be given at the Rookdom training. In the recognition process, the cadre will treat freshmen as Rook Week where cadre will slim freshman door and blow whistles and played changing games. The freshman was afraid of their cadre became their cadre has more power. The programs designed harder than now. The cadet has to do more physical exercise than leadership training. There is less graduation rate, but this year university accepted the highest number of freshman all time of the core of cadet history. This year also has a higher rate of graduation, and the programs and training were design more differently with other years. This year primary goal is to focus on the program that can develop leadership skills for first- years. The first-year students were given small leadership roles so that can make them think quickly and change their character. The most decisions will make and decided them to complete the mission of the crop of a cadet guiding values and respect traditions. Everything was planned well where the freshman came in August and the Rookdom training will end around February and will be recognized. In the Rookdom freshman are cannot allow leaving campus unless in the special holiday likes family weekend, thanksgiving, sports, and other holidays. The cadet commander and commandant thought that chances into the leadership training and education program and other programs provide the freshman year make more profession leader and represent a better
