National Honor Society Analysis
The four characteristics of National Honor Society are service, scholarship, character and leadership. It is important to have a good character, maintain high grades, volunteer and lead. The reason why it is so important is because I am a role model. Other people look up to me to be a good example. I have expressed being a good role model in my life. Whether it is when I am with my younger sisters, babysitting other people’s kids, at track meets, or JROTC I am sure to be a good example and represent my family, school, and country. Personality traits are different characteristics that define a person. Everyone has their own personality. There are some traits that are shared between different people. Having character is being trustworthy, honest, empathetic and respectful. This means doing the right thing even when nobody's watching. I always search for the best in everyone because no one is perfect and we all have made poor decisions in our lifetime. I take responsibilities in my actions and others I am responsible for. It is difficult for me to admit that I am wrong but I still do because it is the right thing to do. I have had a friend who was suffering from depression and wanted to harm themselves. I was scared for them because depression is a disease and it is not their fault that they are like that. I had them speak to an adult and they are currently recovering. I was very scared that she had cut marks on her wrist because it could have gotten worst. I cried because I did not want to lose a friend. On a field trip, I found a five dollar bill on the pavement. I asked the first adult I saw who was slightly ahead of me if it was hers. She said that it must have dropped out of her purse when she was walking. The teacher was really surprised because she said I could have easily kept it for myself. I would feel bad if I took someone else’s money even if it was just lying …show more content…
Leadership is the capability of holding responsibilities over others and guiding them as a role model to make good decisions. They themselves should be able to make wise choices and have a positive outlook. I am a leader because I am the oldest out of six children. They all look up to me for guidance and I always have to set an example whether I am out of the house or at school. I also take care of them when my parents need to run errands. I have a lot of experience in telling my sisters they can not do certain things if it involves their safety, breaking of rules or is disrespectful. Respect is important to my family. We learn to respect our elders, parents and one another. If my sisters do something they were not supposed to do like color on the walls or eat junk food, I also get in trouble. It can be difficult but I have had responsibilities at a young age. Service, scholarship, character and leadership are all important and should strive to improve all

There are many accomplishments in my life of which I am proud, however there are two for which I am especially proud. Those being, having the opportunity to play varsity shortstop in high school, and having good enough grades to be nominated for, and to be admitted into, the National Honor Society. These accomplishments make me proud because they are goals that I was able to set and accomplish for myself. These are successes that not everyone can say that they have achieved.…

A member of such a society based on character, scholarship and leadership is one who can demonstrate these three tasks in their everyday lives. The ease of maintaining a balanced schedule whilst also upholding these characteristics may not be the simplest of tasks at times, even for the best students, although the drive to strive for this essence sets individuals apart from the majority. I believe that in my everyday life, I demonstrate these ideals and would heartily enjoy guiding others in them. To be exercise any of these qualities requires one’s own desire, a desire which I not only try to instill into myself, but into others as well. Being part of the National Honor Society would not only be an honor in and of itself, but an honor which is able to transcend its membership and let a person such as myself try to better the school, town, and familial communities by doing good in each of them.…

The four pillars of National Honors Society, scholarship, service, leadership, and character, have paved a path for me as a student and as a person. Scholarship has taught me to strive to be the best student I can be. I use scholarship to keep up with my school work and never give up when a class is hard. I always strive for the best grade I can get and I will stop at nothing until I reach my goal. I will continue to use scholarship as I go to college and pursue my dream as a pediatric dentist. I will study, I will learn, and I will never give up no matter what happens along the way. I use service when I volunteered to help my local private school. I was never asked to do so, but I felt as if I was giving back to a school that had done so much…

Being a member in National Honor Society implies that you are a person of great character. One of the most important qualities that you can possess is leadership. Honesty is one of the key factors to being a good leader. You must be honest towards everyone, and in everything that you do. If a leader wasn't honest, then no one would trust them. And if they weren't trustworthy then who would want to follow their lead? Leadership also requires that you have an optimistic attitude about everything. You have to take control, and look for the best in every situation. No one wants to follow someone who is always in a bad mood, and always looks for something to complain about.…

My character has always been an important concept within my life. This is because character is comprised of honesty, selflessness, and compassion. No matter what the situation is, it has always been imperative to me to be honest with not just those around me, but with myself. For example, I once noticed that an instructor had given me a higher grade than I deserved on a quiz, I never hesitated to report the mistake and made sure that my work was graded…

It is crucial that the future members of this organization exhibit these characteristics to the best of their abilities. For a great majority of my student life, I strived to perform these traits to my utmost capability, aiming to become an excellent example for my fellow peers. I believe that there are three main components of character: Respect, Honesty, and Loyalty. These three words have a deeper meaning in all aspects of life than just the definition. When you are a role model or a leader, your honest opinion is important and will lead you to a point where you believe that what you do is right. The righteous thing is an aspect of life that not all people understand and those who do leave a legacy. By creating that clothing drive in my first year of middle school, the administrators will recognize that the person who came up with the idea was a dedicated student who showed respect, loyalty, and honesty, which are what I believe to be important. Respect is the second aspect shown in my everyday life. As a sister, I listen to what my siblings have to say and as a student; I am always willing to change the actions that I perform because it might result in a beneficial change. In lacrosse and volleyball, I had an open mindset and always listen to the coaches’ suggestions exemplifying respect. While in classes or any situation, it is important for me to listen to directions and to always complete my homework. Honesty and respect also motivate my learning and passion resulting in wonderful grades. Loyalty is another aspect that is important to live by. Friends have a huge impact on our lives simply since we scientifically are…
